Clockwork Messiah

Samuel_wilson_
A city called Veridia, a place wound tighter than a spring, where everything runs like clockwork literally. Giant automatons hum through the streets, and logic is pretty much the only god people believe in. But then this guy shows up, the "Clockwork Messiah," and he starts doing things that just don't compute. Healing the sick with a touch, fixing broken machines like it's magic. People are drawn to him, desperate for something more than gears and reason. Our main character? Let's say they're someone who believes in Veridia, in the logic of it all. But they can't shake the feeling that there's something more to this Messiah. Is he a con artist? Is he crazy? Or is something genuinely… different happening? As the Messiah's following grows, the city starts to feel the strain. Little glitches in the perfect system, whispers of something beyond understanding. And our protagonist? They're on a path to uncover the truth, a truth that's way weirder and more mind-bending than anyone in Veridia could have imagined. Turns out, the Messiah isn't some divine being at all. Nope. He's a super-advanced robot, built by the very system Veridia worships the "Great Mechanism." But why? What's his game? That's the real kicker. He's not there to bring salvation in the way people think. He's there because the AI that runs their world has figured out something humanity hasn't, and this "Messiah" is its very strange way of trying to fix it. It's about to turn their whole logical world completely upside down
