There we were, walking through the halls of battle building A. Uraraka and I were making our way to the room housing the dummy weapon. Well this is another change that has happened, I think to myself. I wonder what we should do? Maybe have Uraraka float the weapon high off the ground, so they have difficulty reaching it.
"Uraraka, what's your Quirk's weight limit?" I ask as we walk.
"Around three tons, why?" Uraraka asks.
"Well, I have an idea of how to keep the weapon out of Iida and Kacchan's hands" I say.
"Well, go on, let's hear it" Uraraka says impatiently.
"I have one portion of the plan already figured out. We will make the weapon float and have it near the ceiling, so they can't reach it. When Kacchan or Iida make a play to jump or approach it otherwise, I will intercept them and use the capture tape" I say explaining my plan.
"That would work and while we are at it, I could take some of the objects lying around to use as projectiles" Uraraka says adding to the plan.
"That'd be good, we may also want to litter the floor with things to make it difficult for Iida to advance on us" I say. She nods at that and we finalize our plans as we enter the room.
As we enter, we immediately get to work preparing the room. Uraraka goes and floats the dummy weapon to get it over to a corner behind a pillar, while I distribute some of the junk lying around the room on the floor.
We agreed that Uraraka shouldn't keep it floating until the exercise starts. She is also going to hang back and throw some of the smaller objects that she will have nearby to support our endeavor.
After a short time we hear "All right, let's begin the indoor combat training" All Might says through the speaker.
"Team A and Team D, your time starts now!" All Might says, signalling the start.
"You ready Uraraka?" I ask her, activating Full Cowling at 30%.
"You bet Deku, I got your back" Uraraka says with a fierce expression on her face, but then touches the weapon and floats it to the ceiling.
I nod at her and think, I wonder if Kacchan will actually work with Iida this time. I don't have to wait more than a few minutes to find the answer to that, as I hear a "Boom." I look over just in time to see a cloud a smoke where the door was.
Inside the cloud I see a figure, the figure walks through to reveal himself. Of course it's Kacchan, I think to myself. "Deku! Fight me!" he yells out at me as he charges me.
"Uraraka" I yell out. Hearing me call for her, she floats a couple small object and then tosses them at Kacchan. Kacchan sees them coming and creates an explosion in front of him. It shields him from the incoming projectiles, but clouds his vision.
Now that Kacchan can't see, I jump off the ground to the ceiling. As the cloud disperses, I pounce on Kacchan. He seems to be a bit lost not seeing me where I was, but he doesn't get any more time to find me.
I fly through the air at him and land just behind him. He starts to turn to face me, but I stop him by sweeping his legs out from under him. Kacchan falls quite quickly, but I don't let up as I punch him right in the gut.
That punch knocks the wind out of him and while he's still clutching his stomach, I bind him with the Capture tape. He struggles for some time before yelling out "Deku! That was a cheap trick!"
"Sorry Kacchan, but it's your own fault. You need to learn how to work with others, that was part of the exercise" I say lecturing Kacchan, to which he growls and continues creating explosions, attempting to get free.
"Deku, look out!" I hear Uraraka yell out.
Moving away from Kacchan I hear "You vile evil doer, you have captured my teammate. Release him at once!" I turn just in time to see Iida kick at my head, which I move to dodge it.
After dodging, I back up and see a few objects fly at Iida. "Dirty tricks, you really are foul beings, you Villains" Iida says, which causes Uraraka to burst out laughing.
"Pffff, your so…. into this Iida" Uraraka says trying to contain her laughter.
"Uraraka focus!" I yell running at Iida, before he frees Kacchan.
"Sorry!" Uraraka yells back, then starts chucking a few more objects at Iida.
One of the objects hits Iida right in the head, causing him to fall over backwards. I quickly move next to him and punch him in the gut, to make sure he is down and out. After doing so, I bind him in the capturing tape, just as I did with Kacchan.
"The Villain team…. Wins!" I hear All Might yell through the speakers.
After All Might announces the results, I undo the bindings on both Kacchan and Iida. The two of them rub their stomachs and uneasily get up.
Iida sighs a bit and then says "Good job Midoriya, looks like I'll have to try even harder next time." Kacchan on the other hand, is angry like usual, but silent.
I walk over to Uraraka and high five her saying "Nice work, Uraraka. You can let the weapon down now."
"Oh right" she says putting her hands together saying "Release."
The weapon starts falling and I move to catch the thing. As I catch it I think, this thing weighs a ton.
"Alright kids, make your way to the observation room for review" All Might says through the speaker.
We make our way back out of the building and walk into another that's nearby. Going up a few sets of stairs, we finally walk into a room filled with our classmates.
"Good showing out there, but… Bakugo, you need to learn to work with others. There are going to be times when you have to coordinate with a team of Heroes" All Might says as we walk in. I turn to Kacchan and see him gritting his teeth a bit, but he nods albeit reluctantly.
I make my way next to Momo and smile at her. She grabs my hand and whispers "Good job out there Izuku."
"Thanks Momo" I say, squeezing her hand.
"Now for an announcement" All Might says getting our attention. "The MVP of this exercise is…. Young Midoriya" he says which doesn't seem to surprise anyone.
"The reason? Well, care to take a guess?" All Might asks.
"Sir, I can tell you why" Momo says raising her other hand. "Despite not acting much like the Villain he was supposed to, Izuku worked out a plan with his teammate and executed it quite well."
"Bakugo doesn't. He ignored his teammate and went off on his own to confront the Villains. Even then, he came at them head on, which wasn't a good idea" Momo says, earning a scowl from Kacchan.
"Iida, tried admirably to convince Bakugo to work with him, but failed in doing so. He also rushed in alone after being separated, which was foolish" Momo continues, which causes Iida to look downcast.
"Uraraka, on the other hand, also did well with planning and execution.Right up to the point where she stopped taking the exercise seriously. Even in the midst of battle, you should try to remain as calm as possible and laughing certainly isn't that" Momo concludes, which earns a blush from Uraraka.
Everyone is silent for sometime and I expected All Might to say something. Looking over at him, I see the corners of his mouth twitching a bit.
"Yes, well" All Might finally starts to speak. "You overlooked a few things, but… otherwise you nailed it" he says giving her a big thumbs up.
"Start with the basics and devote yourself wholeheartedly to learning, that's the only real way to become a top hero… or at least that's what my mom always tells me" Momo says out loud.
"Speaking of…" I say whispering to her "does your mom, you know?"
"Know about the two of us?" Momo asks quietly before continuing "Yeah, she does. Not sure if she approves or not though, but that doesn't matter to me."
I squeeze her hand and was about to say something, but i'm interrupted by All Might saying "Now then, time to blow this joint. Let's move onto the next match."
He puts his hands into the two boxes and rummages around before saying "Think about everything you saw and that we discussed, as you tackle this training for yourself."
"Yes sir" the class says to him.
All Might proceeds to assign who fights and we run through them one by one. The fights ended up being like this.
Shoji and Todoroki vs. Ojiro and Hagakure. This one ended with Todoroki icing over the entire building disabling the Villain team and securing the win.
Asui and Tokoyami vs. Sero and Kirishima. Sero and Kirishima managed to protect the weapon long enough to run down the clock.
Kaminari and Jiro vs. Shinso and Momo. Momo ended up creating blockades to keep the Hero team out, while Shinso had Jiro attack Kaminari instead of the two of them. Eventually they ran down the clock, winning the match.
Mina and Aoyama vs. Koda and Sato. Mina and Aoyama won this match, but Aoyama was clutching his stomach afterwards. He might of hurt his stomach, firing so many lasers.
After all the matches came to a close, All Might leads us back outside. Once outside he stops in front of us and says "That's it! Super work! you really stepped up to the plate and we didn't have any major injuries. You should be proud, excellent first day of training all around."
"It's nice to hear some encouraging words after our homeroom class" Asui says "Mr. Aizawa was kinda a buzz kill."
"I'm happy to bring such staggering positivity to my Alma mater" All Might yells out while striking a pose.
"That's all for now folks, I have some paperwork to fill out. Now, watch how a Pro exits, like he's got somewhere to be!" All Might yells out as he runs off down the corridor.
"Okay you guys, that.. Is a hero" Kaminari says excitedly.
"Awww, I'll never be able to run that fast" Ojiro says sulking.
"I bet Iida could" Shinso says, which earns more than a few nods.
