Chapter 17 - Chapter 17

Naruto suddenly appeared beside Logan, his expression playful. "That hurt my fragile heart," he said dramatically, placing a hand over his chest. "How are you going to take responsibility?"

Logan's brows furrowed as he felt something unnatural—Naruto had caught his extended claws with his bare hand. The mutant instinctively pulled back, but Naruto's grip was unyielding.

"The fuck are you doing?" Logan growled, struggling against Naruto's effortless hold.

Naruto hummed in curiosity, his gaze fixed on the gleaming adamantium claws. "Just testing something. This thing is definitely exceptional."

Before Logan could react, Naruto applied the slightest pressure. Crack.

A sharp, metallic sound echoed through the air. Logan's eyes widened in disbelief as he watched a fracture form along his supposedly indestructible claws.

Impossible.

Adamantium wasn't supposed to break. In all his years of fighting, Logan had never encountered anyone or anything capable of damaging it. His healing factor allowed him to survive attacks that should have killed him, but this—this was something else entirely.

"How?" he muttered, voice laced with shock.

Naruto released his hand, letting Logan pull back as he examined the damage. "Don't be alarmed, Logan. My body's composition is even harder than adamantium," he explained, his tone casual, as if he had just snapped a twig rather than fractured one of the toughest metals in existence. "My empire's research team is quite hardworking."

His eyes shimmered as he studied the broken claw, golden symbols spinning rapidly within the crimson depths of his Alpha Stigma. Naruto wasn't just looking—he was analyzing, deconstructing the very essence of adamantium at a molecular level.

His empire had long pursued the advancement of materials, creating alloys and elements that surpassed what the universe had to offer. They already possessed superior metals, but collecting more data never hurt.

Logan, for the first time in centuries, felt a strange sense of vulnerability. He had fought immortals, monsters, and cosmic entities, but never had his metal frame cracked. The experience left a deep unease, but beneath that was curiosity.

"Can you fix that?" Logan finally asked, his voice a mix of frustration and reluctant acceptance.

Naruto smirked. "I thought you were going to ask for an upgrade, and I would have told you to earn it."

Before Logan could snap back, the damage to his claws vanished in an instant. The cracks sealed as if they had never existed, the adamantium restored to its flawless state.

Logan's sharp eyes caught the way Naruto's Alpha Stigma spun, radiating an eerie glow. That power—it wasn't just some mutant ability. It was something far beyond what he had ever encountered.

Unknown to Logan, Naruto's power came from something far greater than mutant genetics. His body had undergone transformations beyond comprehension. He had ascended beyond humanity, beyond even the Otsutsuki, further enhanced through the genetic mastery of Orochimaru and Tsunade. His physique was strong enough to endure the explosion of a galaxy without sustaining a scratch.

And that wasn't even his true strength.

His very energy—Celestial Chakra—was his greatest creation, a fusion of Otsutsuki energy, nature energy, cosmic energy, soul energy, and immortal energy from a higher dimension. It was a power that surpassed immortals and cosmic beings, a force that redefined the laws of existence.

Logan stared at him for a moment, then let out a slow exhale. "You enjoy messing with people, don't you?"

Naruto grinned. "It's one of life's little pleasures."

Logan shook his head, unable to argue. He had met many powerful beings in his lifetime, but Naruto was something else entirely.

Logan stared at Naruto, still trying to wrap his head around the casual offer. "You're serious?"

"Dead serious." Naruto grinned. "Why wouldn't I be? If you want an upgrade, just earn it."

Logan scoffed, shaking his head. "That's a first."

In all his years, he had never met someone so willing to help others grow in strength. Among heroes, power was rarely something shared freely. Everyone had their own path, their own struggles, and even among allies, there was an unspoken rule—you figure it out yourself.

Sure, Charles and his school were different. They actively worked to help mutants refine their abilities, but that was more out of necessity. The world feared them. They had to be prepared.

But Naruto? He wasn't doing this because he had to. He wasn't training them for survival. He was simply offering—as if helping others reach greater heights was the most natural thing in the world.

Logan had fought alongside countless warriors, both mutants and humans, and he had always wondered—why didn't more of them help each other improve?

Iron Man could have easily upgraded half the heroes he worked with. Reed Richards could have developed enhancements for countless mutants. Even gods like Thor could have trained others in divine combat.

But they didn't.

Even in the world of heroes, power was hoarded. Not out of greed, but out of the simple belief that everyone had to walk their own path. That growth had to be earned alone.

Yet, here was Naruto—someone stronger than anything Logan had ever faced—offering help like it was a casual favor.

"You look like you're overthinking it." Naruto chuckled, his Alpha Stigma spinning as he studied Logan's expression.

Logan let out a rough laugh. "Yeah, maybe I am. Just... not used to this kinda thing."

Naruto patted his shoulder. "Get used to it. The way I see it, if we're all in this together, why not make sure everyone's at their best?"

Logan took a long drag from his cigar, exhaling slowly. "Heh. You're a weird one, blondie."

Naruto smirked. "Takes one to know one, old man."

The training grounds of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters had seen their fair share of battles, but today, it was different. The students weren't fighting Magneto, Sentinels, or some rogue mutant—they were facing Naruto Uzumaki. And the outcome had been nothing short of humiliating.

Bobby Drake, better known as Iceman, was still reeling from what had happened. He had been frozen—frozen—despite his body being resistant to even absolute zero temperatures. Now, clutching onto Naruto's leg, his pride forgotten, he looked up with a determined gaze.

"Master, please teach me." Bobby's voice held both desperation and respect. He had to know how someone could completely override his own powers.

Naruto chuckled, ruffling the young mutant's hair as he walked forward. "Relax, I'm going to teach all of you. I see great potential in this group." His gaze flickered toward Cyclops, who was standing in the distance, watching intently.

Scott Summers, the leader of the X-Men, had seen many strong opponents. He had been trained by the best, fought countless battles, and yet, he had never felt as powerless as he did now.

Naruto stepped up to him, his expression unreadable. "Now, why haven't you fixed his eyes yet?" he asked, turning toward Professor X.

Charles Xavier, seated in his wheelchair, sighed. "We do not have the ability or technology to fix his condition." Though his tone was calm, his eyes reflected hope. Is he truly going to help Scott?

Naruto turned back to Scott and placed a hand on his shoulder. "You have a strong ability, but no control—just like me back in the day." His voice was serious now. "I can give you control, but you'll have to break past your own mental block. Your power is lethal, and if you can't bring yourself to kill, then at least aim to disable. Blowing off limbs is a good alternative."

Scott swallowed hard. Naruto spoke so casually about something he had struggled with for years. To him, his optic blasts were a curse. A force he could never truly control, only contain.

Before he could protest, golden chakra enveloped him. A warmth spread through his body, seeping into every fiber of his being. His injuries healed instantly, and an overwhelming comfort made his eyelids grow heavy. It was like floating in pure bliss.

Then, as suddenly as it began, the sensation vanished. Scott staggered forward, gasping for breath. His body felt different—lighter, stronger. His headache, the constant strain he had learned to live with, was gone.

"How do you feel now?" Naruto's voice was teasing as he leaned in. "Wanna test your limits? Push yourself to the edge? No matter how hard, no matter how long—"

Scott cut him off, glaring. "Could you not talk like that?"

Naruto blinked innocently before turning to Professor X. "Charles, this kid's a perv. Taking things out of context so easily." He shook his head dramatically before pushing Scott back a few feet.

"Alright, time for a test. You're going to hit me with everything you've got."

Scott frowned. He had done this drill countless times with Logan. It never changed. His beam would hit, and the opponent would either tank it or get thrown back. This wouldn't be any different.

Still, he followed orders. He turned toward Charles for confirmation, and the Professor simply nodded.

"Take off the visor."

The words made Scott freeze.

No one ever told him to do that. Without his visor or glasses, his optic blasts would fire uncontrollably. The very idea terrified him.

But before he could object, his hands moved on their own.

He gasped as his fingers unclipped the visor, and the moment it came off, a concentrated beam of ruby-red energy shot out, heading straight for Naruto.

It was a blast strong enough to carve through mountains, but Naruto stood firm, his body unmoving.

"Not good enough," Naruto muttered. "You're still holding back. Even when I said I'm immortal, you're hesitating."

Scott barely had time to register the words before his body moved again. His muscles tensed, his power surged, and the beam grew darker, heavier. The air around them trembled.

The pain in his head returned, sharper than ever. His body screamed in protest, but the power kept growing.

Too much...!

The blast darkened further, now a concentrated beam of pure kinetic energy. It was no longer just light—it was a force capable of splitting the moon in half.

Three minutes passed.

Scott collapsed.

Naruto sighed, stepping forward as the dust cleared. "Thanks for not interfering," he said to Charles and Logan, his voice casual. "See? He already had this power inside him. He just needed a push."

Silence followed his words.

Logan, who had fought alongside Scott for years, was stunned. He had taken Cyclops' blasts head-on before, and they had never been anything this powerful. He had felt the difference.

Meanwhile, Bobby was practically beaming. "Did you hear that?! His beam can split the moon! And he's my role model! Hell yeah!"

Scott lay on the ground, still processing what had just happened to him. His body was different. Stronger. His power, once thought to be uncontrollable, now felt like something he could direct. The realization sent a shiver down his spine.

But before he could dwell on it any longer, Naruto turned to Bobby Drake, his gaze filled with expectation.

"He will be fine," Naruto said casually, referring to Scott. "And now it's your turn, Iceboy."

Bobby blinked, snapping to attention. He had been watching Scott's transformation with admiration, but now it was his turn?

Naruto continued, his tone confident. "Among all of you, Bobby, you are special in a very different way. Your body is just a vessel—it doesn't need to be in one piece to function. You're not like normal mutants. Look at me and see what you are capable of."

Before Bobby could respond, Naruto's body shimmered, his very form losing shape as he transformed into pure energy. In an instant, his body scattered, golden sparks spreading through the air, surrounding them. It was as if he had become part of the atmosphere itself.

And just as quickly, he reformed, standing before them once again, as if nothing had happened.

The mutants around him stared, some with awe, others with something closer to exasperation.

He had done it again.

Naruto had once more reminded them just how unfair his existence was. While they were bound by the limits of their singular abilities, he seemed to have an infinite arsenal of powers at his disposal. It was almost ridiculous.

But for Bobby, it wasn't about unfairness—it was about possibility. His eyes lit up with excitement as realization dawned on him.

"Are you serious?!" Bobby's voice was practically a shout. "I can do that? I can literally just turn into ice and reform?"

Naruto grinned. "Of course, you can. You all need to forget what humans are like because none of you are human anymore." His words were blunt but carried undeniable truth. "Bobby, trust me. I know you can do this."

Bobby swallowed, but he listened intently.

"Your powers operate on a molecular level. You are not limited by your physical body. You are not like Scott, Logan, or even Jean. Your real form is not flesh and blood—it's ice. Your body can be shattered, melted, and reformed. I can tell when someone is truly vulnerable to death, and you're not one of them. For you to die, someone would have to destroy your soul itself. Simply damaging your body? That won't kill you."

The weight of the words hit Bobby like a truck.

His body trembled—not from fear, but from overwhelming realization. He wasn't just a mutant with ice powers.

He was immortal.

Naruto raised his hand, golden chakra glowing at his fingertips. "Now, do you trust me?"

Bobby's heart pounded.

"If you do, then extend your hand toward me. I will destroy it and force your body to awaken." Naruto's voice was steady, filled with absolute confidence. "Danger is the best way to force the body to adapt."

Logan, who had been watching with sharp eyes, said nothing. He understood what Naruto was doing. If things went south, Naruto could heal Bobby in an instant. It was Bobby's decision.

Bobby turned to Logan, then to Scott, who was still recovering from his own transformation.

Scott had leveled up.

And Bobby?

He gritted his teeth, realizing that the only real risk here was pain. If he backed out now, he'd always be one step behind.

"I'll do it," he said, his voice firm.

He extended his hand without hesitation.

Then—it was gone.

Bobby didn't even realize what had happened.

One second, his hand was there. The next, it simply vanished. There was no pain—just a strange, hollow sensation where his limb used to be.

Then, before his very eyes, his arm reformed.

Slowly at first, then faster, his fingers, his palm, his wrist—each piece of ice knitting itself back together.

Bobby stared, gobsmacked.

"I—what—I actually—" His voice cracked as he looked at his completely restored hand.

Naruto smirked. "Don't be surprised. This is nothing yet."

Bobby looked up, still in shock. Nothing?

"We're going to make your freezing ability truly potent," Naruto continued. "Right now, your ice is still disappointing."

Bobby flinched. Disappointing?

"We need to hit at least negative 100 degrees, and that's just the beginning," Naruto said. His eyes gleamed with challenge. "Eventually, we'll aim for absolute zero."

Bobby's breath hitched.

He had always thought his ice powers were strong. But absolute zero? That was a level beyond anything he had ever imagined.

For the first time in his life, Bobby realized—

He was only scratching the surface of what he could become.

Bobby was still staring at his hand, flexing his fingers in awe. His entire understanding of himself had changed in mere moments. But Naruto wasn't done.

With a casual turn, he focused on another student.

"Now, it's your turn, Kitty."

Kitty Pryde straightened, her eyes widening in surprise. Unlike Bobby, Scott, or Logan, she had never truly considered herself combat-ready. Sure, she could phase through objects, but what good was that in an actual fight? She had always been a scout, an infiltrator, someone who supported from the background while the heavy hitters did the fighting.

Naruto, however, saw her differently.

"You have an ability similar to someone I knew before," he began, his eyes sharp as he analyzed her. "His name was Obito, and he used his power to phase through attacks. But what made him truly terrifying wasn't just defense—it was how he combined it with offense."

Kitty frowned, intrigued. "Offense?"

Naruto nodded and extended his hand, forming three weapons in the air—a chain, a spear, and a sword. Each hovered before her, glowing with an otherworldly energy.

"You rely too much on running away, Kitty. That's why you feel useless in fights," Naruto explained. "But if you had a weapon that could strike while you're intangible, you'd be unstoppable. Your opponents wouldn't even see it coming."

Kitty's breath caught in her throat.

He was right. She had always seen her power as defensive, a way to avoid damage. But what if she could attack without ever being in danger?

She looked at the weapons before her, her mind racing.

"The chain is for control. You can wrap it around your enemies while remaining intangible, then solidify it inside them. It's ruthless but effective," Naruto said.

Kitty swallowed hard at the idea. She had never been one for brutality, but... it was undeniably efficient.

"The spear is for precision. A clean, direct strike that pierces through everything in your path. If you combine it with your phasing, you can hit someone's heart without ever touching their skin."

She shivered. The thought was both exhilarating and terrifying.

"And the sword," Naruto continued, lifting the final weapon, "is for those who prefer balance—offense and defense together. You can slice through enemies before they even realize what happened."

Kitty's fingers twitched as she reached for the weapons, her mind ablaze with possibilities.

For the first time in her life, she wasn't just a support fighter.

She could actually fight.

Her choice was clear.

She grasped the chain, feeling its weight settle in her hands.

"I want this," she said firmly.

Naruto grinned. "Good choice. Now, let's make you into a real fighter."

Charles watched the entire scene unfold, his expression unreadable. But deep inside, he felt something he hadn't felt in years—hope.

Naruto was unlike anyone he had ever met. Most instructors focused on teaching abilities through theory, pushing students to train endlessly without understanding the full scope of their power.

But Naruto?

He understood these kids in a way no one else could.

He didn't just tell them what they could do—he showed them.

By example.

By pushing their limits.

By believing in them.

Charles smiled as he wheeled forward. "Naruto, I must say... you're the perfect instructor for them. Your experience, your ability to connect with them—this is more than I could have asked for."

Naruto scratched the back of his head, grinning. "No problem, I love helping out."

The X-Men had found a new mentor.

And under his guidance, they would become something far greater than they had ever imagined.
