Ling Mo led the female zombies in a breathless dash for nearly a kilometer until he was certain they had put some distance between themselves and that group of zombies. Only then did he stop in a relatively open area of the riverside greenbelt.
Beside them flowed the wide Yudai River, and this spot was at a bend, with a large greenbelt nearby, and several tall buildings not far away.
A male zombie rushed over, only to have his neck slashed by Ye Lian's curved knife.
The other dozen or so zombies, whether they had just caught up or emerged from corners, were all cut down one by one.
During this process, Ling Mo did not take any action himself. He was conserving his energy, waiting for the Leader-level Zombie to catch up.
