Soon enough, the steel cable was fully retracted, and the sucking force outside the door had vanished. He unfastened the cable's buckle and pushed off with his feet, floating toward Yang Jinxia.
He drifted beside Yang Jinxia, braced his hand against the wall to dissipate his momentum, and came to a stable stop. Her face was somewhat pale, her eyes fixed on him, showing a strange calmness.
From her gaze, he felt an ominous premonition tighten his throat as he said, "Don't worry, you'll be okay."
