Chen Xu was lost in thought when he heard a click, looked up, and saw Luo Xiyun pushing the door open and walking out, her expression much softer than before. She said, "Let's go."
It was probably about two in the afternoon; naturally, it was time to study.
Chen Xu stood up and asked, "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine," Luo Xiyun said, heading outside.
Her mood changed quickly, both coming and going. Chen Xu figured he might never fully understand what they were thinking in this lifetime.
The two walked through the corridor to the study room, where Chen Xu, as usual, went over to the experiment table and tinkered with his various devices.
Luo Xiyun sat in a chair, and just before putting on her glasses, she asked, "Nothing serious happened, right?"
Chen Xu was caught off guard for a moment before realizing she was referring to the earlier incident when he had left in the middle of the meal. Laughing, he said, "It was just a minor issue; it's been taken care of."
"Oh."
