"Daddy!"
Among the peach blossoms that blanketed the mountain, the little boy looked toward the peak and saw a long-haired man sitting on a stone bench in the pavilion at the summit, with a woman in his arms whose eyes were closed, her face serene as though she had fallen into a deep sleep.
"Daddy! Mommy! Look at me—"
"Shhh!" The man raised an index finger to his lips, "Haocu, keep your voice down, let your mother sleep well."
The next moment, as the man stretched out his hand and his sleeve swept through the air, the little boy felt as though he was in the clouds, the surrounding scenery retreating wildly, a whirl of dazzling lights. By the time he regained his senses, he was already back at the foot of the mountain.
Looking up, he saw the peach blossoms on the mountain wither and fall at a pace visible to the naked eye, while snow had unknowingly begun to fall from the sky.
