1 Hour Later
"I'll be home a little after 2 okay Kenji?" Yuki says as she picks up her phone, getting ready to leave for work.
"Alright, I'll see you when you get home," here he smirks at her, "little sister."
A blush erupts over her face at his words, which only gets worse when he reaches out and pulls her into a hug. She freezes for a moment before she wraps her arms around him, returning the hug. Kenji luxuriates in the hug for a long moment before he lets her go. She has a soft happy smile on her blushing face as she turns and leaves the apartment. Kenji watches her go through the apartment window until he can't see her anymore. He then turns and pulls his jacket on, getting ready to leave himself. He first needed to get his school supplies that he would need, books, uniform and the like. Then once that was done he would be picking up some food for the apartment, what Yuki had wasn't really enough. Then once he was finished with the normal shopping he'd drop his stuff off and make his way to California for his supernatural tasks.
He quickly left the apartment, it was best to get his mundane tasks out of the way first before he could get to the fun stuff.

10:30 AM, Japan, Sunday
6:30 PM, California, Saturday
2 Hours Later
Kenji took a final look around at the apartment, the school clothes and school supplies having been gathered in the last 2 hours. He then concentrated for five seconds before he Teleported, leaving Japan behind for California. He reappeared inside his San Francisco home, specifically his bedroom. He gazed at the room for a moment before he quickly swept from the room. He gathered several containers from the kitchen, specifically 2 pitchers to hold both blood and cum respectively. Next he grabbed a sharp kitchen knife along with a towel in case of spills. He gazed at the kitchen for a long moment before he turned and went back upstairs, setting everything down on his desk.
His Devils Luck ability wasn't ready to use yet he wanted to make sure he got the most use out of it for the hour it would be active. With that in mind he had to get any materials he was planning on devouring first before he activated it. He pulled out his Stat Coins, the bronze, mithril, and orchalum glinting in his palm. He put the mithril and orchalum coins away, he wasn't going to use those until he had a weeks worth of coins saved up. He wanted an ability like Bronze Conversion for his mithril and orchalum coins, as he didn't know if a metal existed that was 'above' those metals. He'd already locked himself out of any possible Silver/Gold Conversion ability by being hasty in devouring those first coins he got, he wasn't going to risk the mithril and orchalum coins in the same manner.
It was evening here in California, around 6:30 to be exact, but that wasn't really an issue as it wasn't very late yet. He decided that he didn't want to do any thievery within California, the old phrase of not shitting where you live popping up in his mind. That decided he settled on New York city as his area where he was going to go, it was pretty much on the opposite side of the country.
He picked up an empty backpack and a duffel bag from his room in preparation. He slipped on a pair of gloves before he decided he was ready. He used his phone to look up a few places in New York before he cloaked himself in Invisibility once more and Teleported, leaving the state.
He reappeared outside of a bookstore and quickly slipped inside. It was 9:30 in the evening here and the store was closing within a half hour so he quickly got to work. He found the books he was interested in and quickly stuffed them inside his backpack. He filled the pack to bursting, reminding himself that he likely wouldn't have much time next week to do this again, he'd either be in school or at the apartment with Yuki.
Once he had filled the bag he moved on to a high end jewelry store. He needed gemstones to create powerstones, so he was knocking over a jewelry store. It was closed, most high end jewelry stores wouldn't be open late at night, as reputable customers wouldn't be knocking around at 9:30 at night.
Kenji waved his hand with the Skeleton Key charm on it and opened the door, slipping inside. He slips among the display cases, eyes taking in through the dim light the sparkling rings, necklaces, and earrings. Kenji frowns a bit when he realizes the loose stones are likely to be in the back and not the front.
He plunges deeper into the shop, using his Skeleton Key charm to penetrate several locked doors. He finds several offices and back rooms until he finally finds the right area. He gazes about at the open room, stainless steel tables and clear drawers littering it. Gems are within several of the drawers, with labels above them for easy identification along with carat size and other miscellaneous information. Kenji slowly walks along each isle, taking in the gemstones littered about.
He shakes himself out of his daze as he opens up his duffel bag and frowns as he realizes the issue of dumping a bunch of loose gemstones into a bag. They'd get all mixed up and he'd never be able to pick out the separate stones again. He hunts around for several minutes, opening and closing several cabinets before he finds some plastic bags. He then grabs a marker he found and labels the bags before dumping the stones inside the properly labeled bags. All in all he estimates he found pilfered over 500 stones, ranging from diamonds, to emeralds, to sapphires, all up to 10 carats in size.
Kenji just got done zipping the duffel bag up and slinging it over his back to rest above the backpack when the rear most door opens up suddenly. He jumps in surprise when the door slams open and a woman in a tight black corset, black jeans, and black combat boots surges into the room. She has long blond hair with strands of grey, ice cold blue eyes and her lips are set in a firm humorless line. She is attractive, if older, with a classical hourglass figure, with her large breasts on display with her low cut corset. In her right hand she has a moderate length curved saber with a basket hilt protecting her hand. Her left hand is extended, her digits all pointed forward like a knife while a glittering grey magical circle rotates in what looks like readiness.
The woman's cold blue eyes quickly scan the room, searching in a quick manner. The fact that her eyes glide over his still and silent form is a massive relief. Kenji watches as the woman takes a few steps forward before the magic circle in her left hand twitches and shifts, the runic inscriptions shifting and changing minutely. The new circle flashes once which causes the woman's stern face to frown as she fully steps into the room, lowing her sword and deactivating her magic circle.
Kenji watches as she stalks the room, carefully observing the emptied drawers. She uses her magic several more times, which only causes her frown to increase. She is full on scowling when she ends her investigation in the middle of the room, hands on hips. On a whim Kenji activates his True Seeing ability.
Ethereal bat-like wings suddenly appear on her back, twitching back and forth. She was cloaked in an aura of darkness as well, it shimmered every time she moved. Within the center of her chest was a glowing dot of pure black that had a very feint line leading away from her before passing through the wall. Kenji narrowed his eyes as he took in the Devil's true form.
His first suspicion was that the glowing black dot was an Evil Piece, which would make this a Reincarnated Devil. That would go with the wings and the aura of darkness, since Devils are exactly sunshine and puppies. The line leading away from it would likely be the connection to the King, which could come in handy later if he could track it.
Regardless Kenji was now within a room with a Reincarnated Devil who was armed with both magic and a sword. He was tempted to just turn around and leave, however this would was a good chance for him to get some information from this Reincarnated Devil, the Devil's Peerage, and the Devil's King. It would all bank on his successful usage of the Dominion spell, which would allow him to give absolute commands. The only downside was the spell only had a 20% chance of success, which positively sucked balls.
Yet it could be increased through his Blood Ritual, which would double the strength of the spell. It would cost him half the MP cost of the spell taken from his HP but seeing as he was invisible and undetectable it was minimal risk. If the spell failed then he would just leave, simple as that.
First he activated his Blood Ritual, feeling his life force being tapped into for the next spell he cast. Then he cast the Dominion spell, the majority of his MP vanishing along with half of his HP. With his True Sight active he can see the invisible magic leaving his chest in a burst of grey light, instantly striking the older woman in the chest above her corset. He could see some slight resistance as it encountered her black aura but it punched through without issue. The strand of grey magic quickly wrapped around her body, splitting apart into hundreds of chains as the grey magic tightly bound the unaware woman. He could feel an invisible...presence within the woman, he knew that with minor effort he could press down on her via said presence and issue commands. This would allow him to issue binding commands to her, without doing so by accident in casual conversation.
When it was finished the grey magic settled in, leaving no trace back to him. It was comforting that he wouldn't have to worry about someone with some kind of mage sight being able to backtrack the magic to him. However it was a worry that someone with that hypothetical mage sight might be able to so easily spot any of his future thralls. Unless of course his True Seeing was a type of higher tiered mage sight, or perhaps something even more unique. This was assuming magic users in this world even had a mage sight like spell. However it was something to worry about later, when and if it ever happened.
Kenji walked up to the woman before he said out loud, "stand on one foot."
He was disappointed when she stood there doing nothing. It appeared that he would have to actually de-cloak himself so she could perceive him for the commands to work. It was a limitation in the Dominion spell that he made a note of, it was a serious weakness. He wouldn't be able to just sneak in places, enslave someone, then issue them commands while he was invisible to all senses.
Kenji made a careful note of the room, specifically the ceiling. He was happy, yet surprised, that there were no cameras in the ceiling. It was a lucky boon that he wasn't going to question at the moment. He slipped around behind the woman and allowed his invisibility to fade before he quickly issued a command.
"Do nothing." Kenji said to the woman, grasping the magical presence within her mind as he did so.
The woman froze, all motion freezing, from the tapping of her fingers to all movement of her body.
"You will never harm me, you will never harm those I care for, you will always look out for my best interests, and you will serve me loyally." Kenji rapidly laid out commands he felt were wisest.
As it stood before he actually issued any commands to someone under the Dominion spell they were still 'technically' free to attack him. They would have to pull off any hypothetical attack before he could verbalize a command but someone who was very fast could attack before he could speak. It was another weakness he would have to keep in mind.
"Turn around and answer all questions I put to you with the absolute truth as you know them." Kenji commanded to the woman with a final addendum. "Do nothing else."
The woman turned around, her face a riot of panic as she was forced to follow his commands. He suspected she was freaking out even if she could not verbalize it. He sympathized with her but he wanted to know about her peerage and her King more. He'd let her go afterward, once he secured her silence on the matter.
"Why did you come here?" Kenji asked first, the most obvious answer.
"My King was contracted by the owner of this business to protect it, when a break in was detected from the motion sensor alarms my King ordered me to check this shop and detain any intruders." The woman answered, her voice was honest in her answer even if it bespoke of a certain grimness, inner panic and horror.
"Who is your King, how many people does he have in his Peerage, and describe the Peerage as you know it." Kenji asked next.
"My King is Aleksandr Petrov, my younger brother, he is an 86 year old Reincarnated Devil and previously a solder of the USSR." The woman told him, her face scrunched up in effort, a bead of sweat rolling down the side of her face. "He is moderately skilled with guns and magic both. He only has two members of his peerage, myself as his Bishop, and our brother as his Rook."
It was obvious that she was trying to resist the Dominion spell, he could see it in her expression. He could also see her black aura straining against the grey chains binding her to his will. Despite her effort it was hopeless, the chains didn't budge and she was still forced to answer him.
"My name is Nastya Petrov, a 91 year old Reincarnated Devil and I am the only Bishop in my Kings peerage." The woman told him, her effort at resisting him increasing. "My brother reincarnated me in 1955 a few years after he was reincarnated himself. I am also a skilled magic user and decent with a sword."
"As I said before the other piece within the peerage in a Rook, mine and Aleksandr's younger brother." The woman said, the resistance seemingly bleeding out of her as she realized the futility of trying to resist. "His name is Dima Petrov, an 81 year old Reincarnated Devil and he was reincarnated a few years after I was, when he reached his majority. He is a pure physical fighter with minimal magic knowledge however he is quite skilled as he has traveled all over the world to learn various martial arts styles. He is also knowledgeable enough about guns but is an expert with explosives."
Kenji thought over her answers for several moments, her family sounded like they would be monsters for mundanes to deal with.
"Where is your family based at? In the Underworld or Earth?" Kenji asked next.
The woman sagged a little but still answered the question nonetheless.
"We sometimes venture into the Underworld when we want to sell rare stock but we mostly operate on Earth as its safer," Nastya said. "We are currently situated within New York at a club here as we try to expand our operations in the states. We are mostly based out of Russia and the other former Soviet Bloc countries but we have recently started pushing ourselves into America."
Kenji paused, he was starting to get mafia vibes from the way she was describing things.
"What...exactly do you and your family deal in?" Kenji asked with a bit of trepidation.
"Guns, drugs, slaves, protection rackets, money laundering, assassinations." The woman said with a shrug. "My younger brother deals with assassinations, I deal with the slaves while my oldest does everything else."
Kenji stared at the woman, his face curiously blank.
"Slaves?" Kenji asked, "as in sex slaves? Or just regular slaves?"
The woman stared at Kenji with trepidation before she answered, "...all kinds of slaves really but yes, sex slaves make up the majority. Sex sells, and everyone wants to have a toy of their own."
The woman shrugs her shoulders, as if it mattered so little to her. Kenji licks his lips, his fists clenched at his sides. He shakes his head, this really isn't a conversation to be had in a jewelry store and this was rapidly spinning out of hand.
"If we leave this place is there any way for someone to track you?" Kenji asks the now nervous looking woman. "Either through magic or tech?"
The woman shakes her head in the negative, which makes Kenji frown.
"Are you sure? Not even through the Evil Piece?" Kenji pressed.
"Ha!" She barked out a sardonic laugh, "if only it were so easy! If that was possible we would never have Stray Devils. No, tracking through magic, while possible, is quite limited. Or perhaps it is better to say that long distance tracking is very difficult and the longer your target is gone the greater the added difficulty. Out of my family I am the most skilled with magic, while my brothers would be quite hopeless at tracking magic."
"Phones?" Kenji adds after a moment.
"No, we use burners when on the job." The woman shakes her head, "only an amateur would even take a smartphone with them on the job, they are always tracking you even if you 'disable' the tracking features."
Here she rolls her eyes, "they all have GPS, of course they track you constantly."
Kenji nods his head as he checks his MP reserves, revealing him to have 210 MP. It would be enough to allow him to Teleport the two of them to his California home. Without wasting any time he stepped close enough to the woman for the spell to work, concentrating for the required 10 seconds, 5 for each person. He then used his Teleport spell to take them both out of the jewelry shop and to his California home.

California
San Francisco
11:45 AM Japan, Sunday
7:45 PM California, Saturday
Kenji and his passenger reappeared within his room.
"Sit on the bed, do nothing, be quiet." Kenji said to Nastya and wasn't that an odd name.
Kenji paused for a moment as he stared at the now sitting woman.
"Do you need to or feel like you will have to use the bathroom within the next hour?" Kenji asked, he would be super pissed if she messed up his bed due to too tightly worded orders.
She shakes her head in the negative, "no, I always make sure to do that before any job if possible."
Kenji nods his head as he then turns away from her, depositing his loot on the floor. He had a little over two hours before he had to return to Japan, assuming he wanted to be back to greet Yuki. So he wanted to get all his stuff done today that he would need to before he left California. He glanced over at the quiet morose woman for a moment, he would also have to decide what to do with her.
He glanced at the pile of pilfered books and stretched out his back for a moment. He unzipped the bag and started taking out the books, putting them in neat stacks before him on the floor. The woman looked utterly bamboozled by what he was doing, as if nothing was computing. Kenji smirked a little, her reactions to his act of book thieving were pretty good. It wasn't an odd reaction either, who stole expensive precious gemstones and then took....books? Kenji takes a breath before he activates his Devil's Luck before moving to the first book.
Book (Libromancer) Devoured, High Tier – Nothing Gained
The sight of the book being disintegrated with his True Seeing ability active was interesting. Seeing the book disintegrate into glowing motes of grey light as they were sucked up into his mouth was new. Kenji nodded his head at the prompt as the woman stared in shock at the disintegrated book, the mystical particles of which that had been sucked up into his mouth. The Libromancer books had lots of interesting items and abilities within them. They kinda had to seeing as they took items from books and made them real. It was his hope that this would open up more options for his Gluttony Sin. He wasn't expecting to actually become a Libromancer or anything but the book gave him many options. He eyed the other nine copies of the book he had, he hoped he gained something interesting.
Book (Libromancer) Devoured, High Tier – [Skill] Literary Research Gained
[Skill] Literary Research (Expert 1/40) – Knowledge of book research, as in searching for books and the information found within them.
Book (Libromancer) Devoured, High Tier – Nothing Gained
Book (Libromancer) Devoured, High Tier – [Ability] Lesser Libromancy Gained
[Ability] Lesser Libromancy – Gain the ability to summon random objects by pulling them out of books, fictional and non-fictional. The objects summoned will not be extraordinarily common objects like rocks. For example the subject could summon an adventurers perfectly ordinary but high quality knife from his boot, but he wouldn't summon a fork he used in a tavern. Subject may only use a specific book once a year.
Book (Libromancer) Devoured, High Tier – Nothing Gained
Book (Libromancer) Devoured, High Tier – Nothing Gained
Book (Libromancer) Devoured, High Tier – Gain 20 Stat Points
Book (Libromancer) Devoured, High Tier – Nothing Gained
Book (Libromancer) Devoured, High Tier – Nothing Gained
Kenji's lips grew into a devilish smirk as he stared into space. He honestly hadn't expected to get something like Lesser Libromancy, it almost seemed too powerful for a mere high tier object. The limit to only getting to use it once a year per book along with the selection being random was a downer, but expected of a mere high tier object. He strongly suspected that if the book had been rare or exotic tier then the usage limit would have been less. However, even with those limitations it was a seriously useful ability. It sounded like it would just come down to luck and wouldn't you know it he was quite lucky when he needed to be. He'd just have to limit himself to using it when his Devil's Luck was available.
It was also interesting looking down at his chest with True Seeing as his Gluttony Sin actually gained himself something. When he had gained the skill Literary Research his chest had glowed a dazzling bright grey, as bright as looking at the sun during a solar eclipse. His Lesser Libromancy ability had glowed a bright blue while the stat gain had glowed bright green green. It seemed that the glow for his Gluttony Sin depended on if it was a skill, spell, trait, or ability.
He glanced down at the pile of books he hadn't devoured yet and his smirk grew more. He did have his Devil's Luck running at the moment, and here was a convenient pile of books for him to reach into. He picked up a DnD 3.5 Players Handbook and looked it over. The book wasn't filled with magical weapons, it only had basic non-magical equipment as far as he knew. However it would still be a decent test for his Lesser Libromancy power. Without wasting anymore time he opened the book to a random page and positioned his hand over the page, activating his Lesser Libromancy ability and reaching into the book. Watching through his True Seeing was interesting, as the book glowed with a potent white power. He absently noted that it was on the same brightness level as when he used his Gluttony Sin.
He whole hand and forearm tingled as he did plunged into the book, the Devil across from him was staring at him with wide flabbergasted eyes. He felt his fingers grasp hold of something metallic and he held firm as he pulled back from the book. The item that he pulled from the book was a beautifully well constructed metallic gauntlet covered with sharp vicious looking bladed spikes. He turned the armor/weapon over in his hands in curiosity, noting it was for his right hand. His True Sight revealed to to be utterly mundane, not supernatural in the slightest despite its origins. As he set the odd weapon off to the side he noted his True Sight shut off as the ability ran out of time, even as he eyed the rest of his books before picking up the another DnD book, the Dungeon Masters Guide.
This book had the motherlode of magical items within it and he felt a powerful tingle of excitement and anticipation as he gazed at the book. He ran his fingers over the hardback cover, his fingers tracing the image on the front before he opened it up with excitement. He saw a sort of dawning light blossoming within the Devil woman's eyes as she stared at him plunging his hand into another book, a sort of awe filled comprehension and twisted excitement as she leaned forward slightly.
Kenji felt his fingers wrap around a box, which caused him to furrow his brows as he pulled the object out. He pulled out a beautiful dark brown box that was around the size of an average laptop and about 8 inches deep. It was beautifully carved with various esoteric runes and glyph.
He could not remember any magical objects within the Dungeon Masters Guide that was a nice box like this so he carefully set it to the side for later. With a final curious look at the box he moved on to the next book. He had ended up grabbing more GURPS books just for the sheer breadth of knowledge and magic that they contained. One thing GURPS had was options, lots of options. While a fair amount of it wasn't that useful some of it was VERY useful, he'd just have to slog through devouring them until he got the good stuff, but first.
He flipped open four GURPS books, the Basic Set, the Magic, the Grimoire, and the first of the Magic Items books. One after the other he activated his Lesser Libromancy and plunged his hand into each book, pulling objects from the pages. The Basic Set produced a 30 foot coil of rope, which made him roll his eyes.
"Fucking rope?" Kenji muttered to himself in exasperation before he continued on. "I feel like the MacManus brothers."
He continued on after his disappointing first draw, plunging his hand into the Magic book. He pulled out a gold ring, which made him frown as he looked at it. He realized a glaring flaw in his new ability, the fact that a lot of magic items, GURPS ones especially, were not particularly identifiable. A gold ring could be enchanted with any number of hundreds of spells...and the only way to figure that out was with a GURPS spell called Analyze Magic which he didn't have.
"Fuck." He muttered as he move on to the Grimoire book, his enthusiasm a bit dimmed.
He pulled a long quarter staff out of the Grimoire book, the wood smoothly polished. He frowned once more, again he couldn't know exactly what this staff did other then it was magical, as the Magic and Grimoire books didn't really have non-magical items within them. He supposed he could just try to activate it, but that was breaking one of the first rules that any smart adventurer had. Never activate unknown magical objects. It could be anything from a simple Light spell to something like Essential Fire. And creating an unquenchable conflagration drawn straight from the elemental plane of fire within his imminently burnable house seemed very...unwise.
He then plunged his hand into the final GURPS book, the Magic Items book. This one had the potential to be utterly game changing if he drew the right object. His hand pulled forth a long brown cloak, simple in appearance. He frowned for a moment before he grasped the Magic Item book and started to page through it looking for any entries on cloaks. He found three entries for cloaks within the Enchanted Clothing section, a gender changing cloak called Gender Bender. Another called Night Shroud that he dismissed as the cloak wasn't dark nor did it blend into its surroundings. And lastly was the Wanderer's Cloak, a magical cloak that allowed the subject to use the entire Knowledge College of magic.
The Wanderer's Cloak was less a magical item and more of a magical artifact, which he really hoped it was. While the Gender Bender was unique in the fact that the sex change had to work for a minimum of an hour, after that if the cloak was put on again you would be changed back but if you never put on the cloak again then you would remain in your new gender forever after. It was unique because as far as he was aware there were not any real gender changing magic spells in GURPS. There were three cloaks in the Extralegal section but their descriptions didn't match so he ultimately discarded them. So really, it was down to the Wanderer's Cloak or the Gender Bender.
As he set the brown cloak to the side he realized it was fairly simple and safe to test which it was. All he have to do was put it on, if he turned into a woman then it was the Gender Bender, if it didn't then it was the Wanderer's Cloak. However it wasn't something to test when he was on the clock. Hell he really shouldn't have allowed his curiosity to get the better of him and spend five minutes reading the book, he was on the clock after all.
He opened up several Harry Potter books, specifically the first, second, sixth and seventh books. He activated his Lesser Libromancy ability and reached into the pages of the first book, the Philosophers Stone. His fingers grasp around a handle and pulls a long wand out of the book. Kenji gazes at the wand is astonishment, his eyes taking in the obvious Elder Wand in stupefaction.
Of all the items that were showcased within the first book he'd never have expected the Elder Wand, sure it was there but it hadn't been named as of yet, just the unknown wand Dumbledore uses. He grins as he grasps the handle of the Death Stick and feels a powerful surge of cold magic flow down through the wand and into his arm, before the feeling settles within the core of his chest. The temperature within the room suddenly plunged downward and the ambient light seemed to dim as something occurred that was...other. The Devil woman was pale as she stared at him with utter fear across her features, her hands were shaking minutely. Kenji put the woman out of his mind as he returned to the wand before him.
He licked his lips as he thrust the wand out before him and carefully muttered "Lumos."
He frowned minutely when nothing happened, not even a drop of magic leaving his body. He supposed he didn't have the Harry Potter style magic even if he did have a Harry Potter style wand. He eyed his still diminished HP bar before he cast Healing Wind on himself, but casting it through the wand instead of through his hands. He felt the magic flow through the wand, it instantly healed all the damage he'd caused himself from the Blood Ritual. He noted that instead of the Healing Wind spell costing him 50 MP, it had only cost him 10 MP. He grinned, 80% was quite the reduction in cost and very useful. He'd have to carefully test his spells later with and without the wand to see all the differences.
He smiled as he set the powerful wand to the side, letting it rest next to this other items he'd pulled. He reached into the second book, the Chamber of Secrets. His fingers grasped what he felt was a book, which could truthfully be anything. He pulled out what appeared to be a simple older style diary that had T. M. Riddle on the side of it. Kenji almost recoiled from what was undoubtedly a Horcrux, he quickly set the object of black magic to the side.
He stared at the thing for several long moments in a mixture of surprise, horror, and fascination. He had no clue what he was going to do with a fucking Horcrux of a teenage Dark Lord. He did wonder if he could devour the thing with his Gluttony Sin, even if he almost felt like that would be a waste. In the event that it was considered alive then destroying it would be nigh impossible with what he had on hand, since it would take something like Fiendfrye or Basilisk venom to destroy it.
He put the object of evil out of his mind as he turned to the next books, more trepidation filling him. He reached into the sixth book, the Half-blood Prince and pulled out a roll of blank parchment. With a hope he grabbed up his Death Stick and tapped it while muttering, "I solemnly swear I am up to no good."
When nothing happened he frowned, he appeared to have gotten fairly lucky earlier, yet that luck had seemingly failed him with a normal piece of parchment. He shrugged before he moved on to the last book. He plunged his hand into the novel and grasping the lip of something...a bowl perhaps? He pulls the object out of the book and finds that it is a pensive, the magical bowl that holds memories and allows the user to review them.
He sets the rune carved bowl to the side along with the rest of the objects he plucked out of his books. He pauses for a long moment as he reviews the items of various power he has laying out before him. The wand is obviously the most useful, he reaffirms the decision to test the wand out later. The Horcrux is is the next most powerful, even if its uses are not as obvious. His eyes track back to the wooden box and cloaks, he still didn't know what each object did but he wanted to finish his devouring of his books first. He turned to the books laid out before him along with the copies, he had fifty books in total that he had pilfered, most copies. He bites down on the GURPS Basic Set, the book disintegrating instantly.

[Spell] Volcano – A earth/fire spell that causes vapor and lava to spew from a chosen three foot section of ground. A slow spell but very serious! The volcano will start out small, a small hole spitting stones and vapors, and increase its diameter by 10 feet a day. This spell will also reactivate a dormant volcano. When the spell is allowed to lapse, the volcano will cease to grow and soon die while a formerly dormant volcano may stay active. The spell works with the natural flows of the planet instead of creating and forcing everything on its own, as such the spell is cheaper to cast then it might be otherwise as it slowly pulls magma from the earth.
Cost: 2,000 MP to start initially, with 1,500 MP per day to maintain.
Time to Cast: 8 Hours of absolute concentration to cast initially, with 4 hours each day to keep it going.

People whose charisma is stolen simply become less scintillating; those whose voices are stolen become mute. The stolen attributes will last for a month before returning to the original recipient unless taken permenantly.

Magic resistance and purely magical shields are useless against this spell due to its highly exotic nature. Physical shields and objects of sufficient mass can be used as a shield against the spell. Book (HP and the Deathly Hallows) Devoured, High Tier – 20 Stat Points Gained
Kenji closed his eyes as he took in the gains he'd gotten from the fifty books he'd devoured. He mused on the fact that many of the books were let downs, the DnD books especially. The Lesser Libromancy made up for much of that disappointment and the Harry Potter books had some very cool gains made from them. The GURPS skills were, acceptable he supposed, even if he didn't really think falconry or a bow skill would be overly useful. Why would he use a bow when he had magic?
The GURPS spells on the other hand definitely had potential, even if the Volcano spell was slow and very obvious. The Steal Beauty spell was interesting but it would be fairly hard to use without everyone knowing something funky was going on, at least with physical beauty. The DnD Flame Strike spell was very useful with its holy aspect, definitely useful against any Devils he might have to fight.
The Harry Potter Parseltongue trait made his inner fanboy nerd out even if it really wouldn't have much impact. Maybe if he found some magical snakes perhaps. The Fireporting ability of the Harry Potter Phoenix was interesting and would need some experimenting. Could he port to the underworld with it?
Occlumency would prove neat once he got his MP regen rate higher. As it stood now to keep his Occlumency up he wouldn't be able to regenerate any MP as it would be busy keeping up with the costs of the Occlumency spell. He was pretty curious about how the spell/skill hybrid would fare at a higher level of skill but that would likely take time.
The stunning spell would prove useful but the Killing Curse was exceptionally powerful. It was a pity the energy cost was so outrageously high, even if he used the Elder Wand to cast it with the reduced energy costs he still wouldn't be able to use it as he was. It was a pity cause it was definitely a powerful attack spell. He supposed he'd just have to keep increasing his MP till he could cast it. He quickly allocated the stat points into an even spread however, no point in waiting on those.
With his stats raised from 272 to 316 Kenji moved onto the next phase of his powering up, blood. Specifically his blood, he grasped the knife and the plastic pitcher before carefully bunching up some towel beneath him encase of any spillage. He hoped his blood was considered something non-standard but even if it wasn't devouring 50 mouthfuls of normal blood would produce something useful.
Carefully putting his hand over the pitcher he first cast the Pain Numbing spell, reducing his ability to feel pain by 90%. He then sliced down through his palm, the slice barely causing him any pain. It was annoying that his healing factor caused him to have to continue to slice into himself but it had to be done. Slowly but surely the pitcher was filled up until he finally allowed his palm to heal for the final time. He carefully picked the pitcher up and with a final breath took in a mouthful of blood, devouring it.

At this point Kenji pauses, glancing down at the older blood within the pitcher. He had already gone through 25 mouthfuls of blood, leaving him 25 possible chances for more success. However now that he had gained two traits that innately increase the potency of his blood he wonders if his blood now has a higher rarity tier. He hums for a moment in contemplation before he carefully cuts his wrist, quickly applying his lips to the cut. He allows his rapidly healing cut wrist to fill his mouth with blood before he devours it.
Kenji's Blood Devoured, High Tier – Gain 20 Stat Points
Kenji grins a the higher quality tier before he slices his wrist open again, mentally discarding the old blood within the pitcher. Kenji's Blood Devoured, Rare Tier – Gain 30 Stat Points
Kenji was fairly pleased by the gains, the enhancements to his HP and MP regeneration were quite nice and very much needed. The enhancement to his Blood Ritual was by far the best of all his gains. Reducing the HP cost from 1/2 to 1/4 was pretty nice all told. He eyed the old blood before he picked it up and went to dispose of it. All he had left to do was finish out his weekly semen limit and he would be finished. First however, he added in the stat points, slotting 23 into each category while saving to single leftover.
