( Yuuki's POV )
After the Sarashiki sisters and our teachers Chifuyu and Maya decided to stay and help us, I took them to get properly equipped.
Maya took one of the spare triple-core IS units we had while Chifuyu took a light IS armor.
Yuuki: Are you sure that's what you want to use? With everything I've heard about you being a champion pilot, I thought you'd be using an IS.
Chifuyu: Is this enough for me, has there been enemy activity?
Yuuki: There's no sign of them, they disappeared as quickly as they appeared.
Chifuyu: that's... common?
I think she was about to use the word normal, it seems she was still having some trouble digesting the situation she was in.
Yuuki: not so much, I only know of two groups that can travel between worlds so freely, us and the crimson ravens.
Chifuyu: and who are they?
Yuuki: They are a group dedicated to creating the largest possible army, and they would have no problem employing monsters like the BETA, they're probably waiting to see our next move.
Chifuyu: This still feels a little weird.
Yuuki: you get used to it in no time.
I left the girls at the armory and went to see how the residents of this world were preparing, I noticed that there was some uncertainty in the soldiers, We won the battles against the BETA but just the appearance of those creatures could make anyone tremble, and this had to happen just when they were overcoming their terror of the Kabanes.
I was thinking that I should do something to boost everyone's morale when I ran into Ayame having an argument with a girl, and I recognized the girl, who was the first to go to help the pregnant woman that I cured from a Kabane bite, if I remember correctly her name was Kajika, she was one of the volunteers to support the soldiers on our mission to reclaim stations.
Yuuki: Ayame, is there a problem?
Ayeme: Oh, Yuuki, well, the truth is, the people at this station are a bit agitated.
Yuuki: Why is that? They're terrified of the BETAs.
Ayame: I suppose in part, yes, but the problem is that before the invasion, the residents were preparing for the Tanabata festival, but after the attack, the train at this station doesn't want to go out to get the necessary supplies, but people don't want the festival to be canceled.
Yuuki: I see, tell them to get ready to leave, our Gears will escort them safely, the people will have their festival.
Ayame: Are you sure about that? That won't delay our mission?
Yuuki: Festivals are very important, that's what makes a place a home, and people fight with more determination to protect their homes, plus our soldiers also need to relax.
Kajika: I'll go tell them the news.
The girl left excitedly, and I was left alone with Ayame, a moment of silence formed between us, and I decided to leave the place too, but Ayame called me before I could leave.
Ayame: ...Thanks, I think I was about to make another mistake.
Yuuki: I don't think so, Miu has told me all the good work you've done, I did well to choose you, this world is going to need you.
Ayeme was a little embarrassed when she heard the trust I had in her and after that, I was able to leave the place, the train pulled out of the station following my instructions and two Frame Gears were flying by its sides, I climbed up onto the station's protective wall, from where I could hear people running around in a hurry, they were very determined to hold this festival.
To give people security, I created four stone dragons taller than the walls, to guard this place.
Tatenashi: I guess that's why you never doubted the documents we found at the Hydra base, you already knew that things like magic were real.
As I sat on the wall admiring my work, I heard Tatenashi's voice behind me, and before I could turn around she took the seat next to me.
Tatenashi: I guess my dismissal of that kind of thing kept you from telling me what you knew.
Yuuki: I was always going to tell you what I knew, you were right, us working together was good for both of us.
atenashi: I'm glad you think the same as me, but I remember that you shut down all my attempts to strengthen our partnership.
Yuuki: That's because I could see that you weren't serious, you were just entertaining yourself.
Tatenashi: I don't think that'll be a problem from now on.
Yuuki: What was that?
Tatenashi: Oh, you'll find out later, here, I came here to give you this~
Tatenashi stood up with a smile, and after opening her fan over her mouth as usual, she gave me a piece of paper, this was part of the festival where someone would write a wish and then hang it on a bamboo tree.
After giving me that, Tatenashi left, but she returned along with the rest of the girls not long after when the festival was very much on its way, they were all wearing yukatas and were about to take me to the festival to spend time together.
I always had a good time when I was with my Sekireis, but I must admit that the people here put together quite a festival for having been done in a hurry, and when night began to fall, we put our wishes on the trees.
Tatenashi: I'm a little curious about what a person like you wishes for.
Yuuki: Nothing strange, really. I just want children, lots of them.
I revealed my wish without hesitation, and that caused the girls to blush and some of them were even letting their imagination run wild with what I said, and I was no different.
Chifuyu: ...I must say, I didn't expect to hear that.
Yuuki: Yes, I want enough children to fill a sports tournament just with my family, that would be sweet.
