The rest of the days passed rather quickly, and Lin Mu continued to stay within the villa.
After the last few incidents, he felt like the luck here was just bad, and he might just encounter more trouble. He also restricted Meng Bai and the beasts from going out, much to their disappointment. Monk Hushu, however, was in full approval of this and was convinced that the place was simply drenched in misfortune.
Finally, the day of their departure arrived.
"Are you all ready?" Lin Mu asked as he stood at the gate.
"Yes!" Meng Bai replied enthusiastically. "I packed everything." He nodded firmly, looking proud.
"I got all the ingredients too!" Ashy said, holding up a satchel far too big for its size.
"I'm done as well," Daoist Chu added, while Monk Hushu simply nodded, his arms tucked into his robes as if this were just another uneventful morning.
"Very well, let's go. The time is close," Lin Mu said as he led them away from the villa.
