"Master, can someone like him truly exist?" Lady Yeon asked, her voice laced with disbelief.
The old woman remained motionless for what felt like an eternity.
"I did not think so," she finally admitted, her voice almost reverent. "And yet…"
Her voice drifted into silence, her gaze lifting upwards. There was nothing but the ceiling above them, but Lady Yeon knew better.
She wasn't looking at the ceiling.
She was looking beyond it.
After an hour, the old woman grew weary.
"I cannot see it either," she stated, making Lady Yeon quiver.
"You can't either?" Lady Yeon was stunned.
"We have the same eyes, but mine have grown dull over time." The old woman sighed. "This cannot be scryed into easily… I'll have to use all my power."
Lady Yeon stumbled back. "You will really do it, Master?"
