In the days that followed, Li Wei and Mr. Teddy Bear became more acquainted and even went as far as becoming friends.
" Tell me, my little angel, to whom do we owe this happiness?" I asked Wei who transcribed to me how he met a Teddy Bear one day and how they became friends. Wei was exhilarated to finally have a friend at school.
" I'm happy for you, my little angel." I put Wei to sleep after telling him a bedtime story. I left his quarters afterward to head home.
That friend Li Wei was referring to, could it be who I think it is? I subconsciously thought and wondered.
The following day, Wei was excited to go to school and meet with his new friend. I was happy to see that sweet grin on his face and I hoped from the bottom of my heart no one would ever take that away from him.
At lunchtime, Wei scribbled something in his notebook and passed it to the Teddy Bear who read it. What Wei wrote was, " Mr. Teddy Bear, will you come to my dad's birthday party in five days, please?"
