"Haha." Li Teng laughed briefly, pulling Cheng Qian as they hurried upstairs.

The corridor was pitch-black.
Li Teng used his cell phone for light and took out a box of key cards he had just picked up. He matched them before selecting a room with a door number ending in 8 and opened it with the key card.
These door locks were battery-powered, so they'd work even if the electricity was out.
"Why did you take so many key cards?" Cheng Qian asked after they entered the room.
"I grabbed a few extra in case someone came. They couldn't be sure which room we were in," Li Teng replied.
"Makes sense." Cheng Qian nodded. She hadn't thought that far ahead.
