"Alright, let's part ways here; we need to return home too."
Returning to the place where they found the Red Fox, Ruanruan embraced the fluffy creature and rubbed her cheek against its head for quite a while until its fur was all tousled.
The fox placed its paw against her forehead and pushed, but when it couldn't move her, it gave up and resigned itself, with a helpless expression, to the prolonged cuddling from Ruanruan.
"We really have to say goodbye now, stay beautiful and remember to miss me, okay?"
The Red Fox whined a few times and extended its tongue to lick Ruanruan's chin twice.
Ruanruan put the Red Fox down, and it ran forward a few steps, looked back at the group it had lived with for some time, and barked shortly as if to say goodbye, then dashed off into the depths of the forest with its tail swaying.
"Goodbye, stay beautiful!"
Ruanruan's voice was filled with reluctance.
"Let's go, we'll meet again if it's meant to be."
