Shanay POV
I've been speaking here and there with Emma and it makes my blood boil whenever I speak to her. Why does she want to talk to me out of all people.
Its Valentines day on Friday and I dont know what to get for Luke. I want to ask him what he likes because he never tells me any of that. If I get my answers from that then I can take it to the next step and get him the perfect gift.
I got home and he wasn't there. I waited for about an hour until he came home.
"Hey babe."
"Hi hunny. How was school?"
"It was okay. I'm tired."
"You want something to eat?"
"Yes please." He said to me with some sparkle in his eyes.
I made him some food and gave it to him.
"Why dont you feed me?"
"Baby you can feed yourself."
"I know that but I want you to feed me." He said with that smirk on his face. I knew he was up to something.
"Luke, what are you getting my for valentines day?"
"You know I can't tell you that."
"Just a little hint."
"Shanay you will find out on Friday."
"Okay." I said putting the food on his lap and leaving."
"Where are you going. Come back here."
I didnt speak to him the rest of the night. He didnt even bother to speak to me. Wow this must be the longest that hes gone without speaking to me. I feel bad now because I cant be angry at him ever. So it breaks my heart a little to see him this way.
"Luke." I say in a soft tone. "Can I speak to you? You dont even have to say anything."
And that's exactly what he did. He didnt even look at me when I said that.
"Okay I'll take your silence as a yes and speak. I'm really sorry for what happened earlier. It's the first time that I have someone with me on Valentines day. Well after the whole Jordan situation. But I feel really bad for leaving the room like that. Please will you forgive me?"
"You know that I can never be angry at you. I just didnt speak to you because i was busy. I had a little bit of stuff to do and I didnt want to tell you. How can you ever think I would be angry at you? You're my wife to be and i dont think that the being angry part will ever happen." I could see that he wanted to laugh.
"Baby come on your not being serious. I feel hurt about what I did."
"Shanay just forget about it. That is in the past now."
"Okay." I said and that was when I got an idea.
I jumped on him because he was next to me and I started tickling him and he couldn't escape my grip until this happened...he flipped us over and our lips were inches apart. Breaths fanning on eachother. Nothing mattered in that moment except for us.
Finally I moved my head a little bit and my lips connected with his. This one felt different. Something I've never felt before. There were actual butterflies erupting in my tummy and it was because of one person. This is the only person I want to be with for the rest of my life. Someone who really cares about me. I didnt want that kiss to end but it had to end at some point. And that was now.
"One more kiss please." I said to him with my puppy dog eyes.
"You are so damn lucky that I love you."
He slammed his lips into mine this time and this kiss was passionate and i could feel that he loved it. He placed his hands on my hips and i started laughing which broke the kiss.
"Now what happened?"
"I'm sorry...its just...i feel that you are gonna tickle me because your hands are on my hips."
"Oh like this?" He said tickling me.
"Luke stop."
"This is what you did to me about five minutes ago if I'm not mistaken."
And he stopped and layed next to me. Both of us catching our breaths.
"I am so happy that I have you as my boyfriend."
"And I wouldnt change you for anyone else."
"Can we go to bed now?" I asked him yawning.
"Yes we should."
We went to bed and he held me close to him. It's so cute how he can't sleep if I'm not there next to him.
"Goodnight."
"Goodnight."
And we both dosed off to sleep. The next day was a Saturday so that means I have time off. It is really tiring having to go to university. Theres so much to do.
I woke up at 3 in the morning because I had a nightmare and Luke heard me crying.
"Babe what happened? Why are you crying?"
"I had a nightmare that you left me for a skinnier girl and she was so much more prettier than me. You said that i didnt matter to you and i should get lost." I said trying to keep to tears in but they just kept rolling down my cheeks. He wiped the tears away with his thumb and finally spoke.
"Shanay why do you overreact all the time? You know that it was just a dream. I will never leave you for anyone. Even if she is prettier than you or skinnier. In my eyes you are perfect and I would only choose you. You matter the most to me. I only want you."
"What if it comes true?"
"Shanay. I will never leave you. Dont say anything else."
We went back to bed and I held onto him tightly until I fell off to sleep again. The next morning i woke up and he wasnt there next to me. And that was when i smelt something really nice. What was it? It smelt like waffles. I went downstairs and there he was in nothing but his boxers, making me, Shanay Ramjass, waffles. He didnt notice me so I sat down on the bar stool and watched him until he turned around and got a shock when he saw me looking at him in amusement.
"Well good morning." He said to me handing me the plate of waffles.
"Good morning to you too. What is all of this for if I may ask?"
"Well you seemed to be really traumatized by that nightmare so i thought of cheering you up with some waffles. Do you like it?"
I took a bite of it and that was the best thing ever. Better than anything he has ever made. It just melted in my mouth.
"Mmm this is so delicious." I said while taking another bite of it.
