On the way home, Le Yu looked at the two envelopes in his hand and fell into contemplation.
Before leaving, Yin Yinyin handed Le Yu an envelope, and Le Yu thought it was finally the payroll from White Night. But upon taking it, he found it contained a ticket stamped by the Governor's office.
Then, Le Yu took another envelope out of his pocket, which also contained a ticket — the one Blue Flame had promised him earlier as compensation, hence Le Yu being sent by Blue Flame to watch the city gate.
He seemed to have forgotten to mention this to Yin Yinyin.
Yin Yinyin said she didn't care whether he wanted the ticket or not, as White Night wouldn't offer any other reward anyway.
