City Lord Mansion.
"Squeak creak!"
Murphy barely applied any force, and the door swung open.
Stepping into the courtyard, he was met with an intense stench of blood mixed with a pungent, acidic odor, the cause of which was unknown.
However, contrary to what he had expected, there were no bodies to be found, not a single one; the entire courtyard was eerily empty and as quiet as a haunted house.
What was going on?
Murphy scanned the courtyard, his brow deeply furrowed.
Walking cautiously, he had taken a dozen steps when he suddenly realized something. He abruptly turned his head to look at the pools of thick green liquid scattered across the courtyard, his eyes flickering uncertainly: could it be... could these liquids be the bodies? Just... dissolved? Then—
"Huff—"
Murphy took a deep breath and gripped his longsword tightly, feeling that this gave him a sense of security.
