Tiannan Province, once among the top three most populous provinces in Daxia Country before the apocalypse, maintained considerable strength even after the apocalypse struck.
The provincial capital, Jing City, which had a permanent population of over ten million before the catastrophe, was promptly aided by the military, who managed to save most of the survivors. With their formidable power and a gathering effect, the city gained more residents over time. Now, centered around the Sanctuary of Jing City, a Defense Circle houses over five million survivors.
Among them are five hundred thousand Awakeners!
Even though the vast majority couldn't break through the bottleneck of the Fifth Tier, it was still a terrifying number. There was a time when no Demonized Beast could be found in the vicinity of Jing City.
Outposts extending from the Defense Circle were built further and further away.
