Lucas, however, didn't have any plans of letting the Toads have the initiative in this matter. He wanted them to be fully into helping in this war. If he took a step back today and accommodated the Toad Clan Leader, there's a chance that the Toad might want to withdraw if it sees that the battle wasn't going favorably for humans, and losing an ally in the middle of a war is no different from losing the said war. Since it had gotten to this, there was no point trying to use the friendly approach with these Toads. It might seem that he was being overbearing with his request, but the truth is, this is the only way he was sure that he could keep the Toads in check.
Sir Astarot looked in Lucas' direction, its eyes calm. It didn't even react to the Toads surrounding them, it believed the Toad Clan Leader wasn't dumb enough to attack him.
