Fenrir opens his eyes, seeing his younger sister Hel curled up against his fur. At first he was taken back, but relaxes. Enjoying the memory of the two growing up. She was nothing more than a toddler to him as at his age he was the size of a two grown men. He watches as animals throughout the forest spring to life. His old pack slept around him and his sister even a couple pups roughly playing in front of their mother. He smiles, enjoying this moment while it lasts.
"Brother… Is something wrong?"
He looks down seeing his little sister look up at him.
"No little one.. I am just enjoying this while it lasts."
She looked up at him confused but laid against him. He knew deep down that as they grew, the stronger he would get and the elders would fear his strength. They stayed outside for several hours until the sun began to set.
"We should head home, sister. It's beginning to get late for you to be out."
Hel looks up at him and stands up.
"Aww. It feels nice out though."
Fenrir stands up, almost towering his little sister, and began to walk home.
"You know how mother is when you stay outside too late. She terrifies me some days."
He shivers for a moment then relaxes, hearing his sister's laugh.
"Okay let's go home."
The two were on their way home, his pack followed close behind. Their mother didn't care if the pack followed as long as they stayed outside to protect their home. The two walk for a few miles until they finally reach their home. Deep inside the woods was a mysterious mountain the shape almost that of a pillar and a long river that passed by it. There was a hut that was built into the mountain and hill beside it with a door bigger than Fenrir himself along with a small door built into it. The two walk in as the pack settles back down between the mountain and the river.
"Momma, we have returned."
She spoke loudly as they walk in. Hel walks over to a small fire in the center of the hut and sits down close to it. Fenrir starts to walk in search for their mother when he hears a voice.
"Fenrir… You need to wake up… Chaos is consuming your soul…"
He stops walking for a moment after realizing what the voice spoke of.
"Fenrir… You need to wake up now before it's too late. The three of us can't keep it back for long…"
He looks back toward his little sister who is focused on the fire.
"Did you say something, Hel?"
The young Hel just sat there without a word still.
"Fenrir! Snap out of it!"
He shakes his head as the voice keeps yelling in his ears. He closes his eyes and collapse to the ground.
"I just want to stay here where you guys are still alive!"
Several silent minutes pass while he laid on the ground. A warm hand gently pressed against his shoulder followed by a body.
"We are alive… As long as you live, there is still hope for us Fenrir… If Chaos fully consumes your soul, then we die with you."
He opens his eyes, seeing Hel the way she was before she perished laying against him.
"As I am here trying to help you, our brothers are trying their hardest to keep Chaos back. Please you need to wake up before it is too late, brother…"
Fenrir looks down for a moment, then finally gathers his thoughts. He leans his head against hers softly.
"I will find a way to bring you three back… I promise sister…"
She looks up at him and smiles softly, gently rubbing his cheek.
"Hurry up Fenrir. We must go and help them them fight Chaos."
He closes his eyes for a moment then reawakens to the real world with the dark sky of purple. Trees still shattered and knocked over. The smell of blood covered him as he realized he was soaked in blood. His arms covered from his claws up to his elbows. He now realizes he was standing straight up compared the what he remembered.
"Fenrir!"
He hears a familiar voice and looks up behind him, seeing Eaos standing in front of a wounded Nendrerth. Her arm was torn up but still intact. Zero and Obsidia stood beside Nendrerth to watch over her as Nieo begins to heal her with her powers, emitting a small light around the ancient once's arm.
"Fenrir…?"
Nieo spoke softly as she looked at him with a worried look.
"N….Ni…"
He tried to speak but Chaos was trying to take control again. He dropped to his knees and began to slam his head against the ground, causing the ground to shatter with each slam.
"He seems to be trying to fight Chaos back. Nieo… I hate to ask you…"
She looks up to Nendrerth for a moment who looks down back at her.
"He seems to respond to you. I should've seen it sooner but you two have a connection somehow."
Nieo didn't understand what she was saying but for Fenrir's sake she wanted to try. She steps away from Nendrerth and began to walk over to him. Lifting her hand and turning her palm up, a bright orb begins to glow and fly toward Fenrir. Once it was above him the orb expands and encircles the crater around him. She walks over into the glowing dome and disappears within it. She sees the struggling Fenrir as the Chaos within was forcing itself out. She could see the purple smoke surround him then dissipate.
"Fenrir… It's me Nieo…"
He stops for a moment and looks to her. His right eye pitch black as the left was burning blue.
"Ni… Nieo… S-stay back."
She hesitated for a second but continues to walk over to him, placing her hand on his shoulder.
Even though he was struggling to take back control of his body, her pure aura managed to help him focus.
"I'm here to help you Fenrir…"
She spoke softly as she kneels down beside him. The thought of the possibility of being his siblings back crosses his mind as she knelt beside him.
"They're still alive…"
