The highly sought tables in the Aroma Paradise were fully occupied by numerous diners, each with their unique thoughts, creating a lively atmosphere.
At a sizeable table, there was a group of friends from upper society who come for a reunion and asked each other about their wellbeings, families, and businesses. On the surface, those were normal topics. In reality, they were investigating, silently comparing their lives to others. An activity that would potentially rob one's happiness when others seemingly had it better and denied the achievements they had accumulated. The doers knew about the accompanying consequences, yet continued to do so due to social pressure.
Most of the time, it was better not to give a damn about what others were doing with their lives and focus on our own goals. However, this simple matter was apparently difficult to accomplish for many people. This may indicate that, inherently, people took more interest in others' affairs rather than their own lives.
