Once it was immediatly 11:50 we ran down the stairs together, putting the 2 flashlights in my pocket as we raced to the isle where, unfortunately, Aiden and Liam where, talking about what they'll do once we go in groups. "How do you guys get here so quick." Maya grumbled. "We camp out here once it's 11:00pm duh." Adrien rolled his eyes. "Really?" I asked. "Yes really. Now, flashlight me." Adrien ordered, laughing a little. I laughed to, handing him the 2nd flashlight while the other one stayed perfectly in my pocket. "Ok, we have to start going since we only have a minute to get there." Liam explained. We ran through the silent halls to the entrance, sliding through the door cracks. "Ok, we split up immediately. We meet back here, ok?" I explained. They all nodded and we went in different directions in the forest. Me and Maya went left while the boys went right. Me and Maya slid under the 'RESTRICTED' banner and into the dark forest. The same feeling, hitting my body harder than the other times we'd been here. I'm so starting to regret this.
I quickly brought out my flashlight and let the light lead the way. This was a different part of the forest, not known to us. I took hold of Maya's hand and led her through the dark trees. Oh no, not again. The Shadow Colosuss! "I'm not ready to deal with that.....thing!" Maya exclaimed. It soon turned around and stared at us with red beady eyes. "Ok we have 2 options: A, run for our lives and leave the boys here or B, hide." I explained. Before we could even decide, it started floating as fast as it could to us, it's white razor sharp teeth shinned on us, ready to eat us. I immediatly took hold of Maya's hand and dragged her through the trees and into a small dark and dense cave, pushing her against the hard, rough wall. "Fast thinking Nate." Maya breathed out a sigh. "Shhhh, it's coming." I whispered, clapping a hand over her mouth. I leaned into her chest, watching the shadow colossus float by, looking for us through the tree branches, not even thinking to check the cave, silly shadow. "NFDUNDJNEJD!" Maya whisper mumbled once it was out of sight. "Oh, forgot." I said, slowly removing my hand from her lips. "I couldn't breath." Maya breathed out, trying to catch her breath.
"Sorry, but we have to keep going. We have to find something at least that can give up enough proof that it was the monsters that did it." I pressured. Taking hold of Maya's hand and dragging her deeper into the cave. "Why are we going into the cave. Shouldn't we be going the opposite way?" Maya confronted. "Yeah but, if there's a cave here in the middle of a forest, there must be something hidden here." I explained. Maya just nodded as we walked deeper into it. I shinned the flashlight into the darkest pits of the cave. There was monster, a weeping monster? "H-Hello?" I stuttered, flashing the flashlight at the creature. "Who is there?" It asked, not turning around to look at us. "Ummm, we aren't monsters." Maya explained. He immediatly perked up and turned to us. "Humans?! How did you guys get past The Shadow Colosuss." He asked, clearly superised. "Let's just say, this isn't our first night here." I laughed slightly. "Why are you crying though? Why aren't you in the mansion with the other scary creatures?" Maya shivered, remembering last night. "Well, I was outcasted for becoming friends with a human. She was about your age, 14 right?" The monster asked, turning to me. I nodded.
"Her name was Margret. A sweet girl. Once they found out about our friendship, they outcasted me and turned me into a big furry bear monster." He explained. He did look furry, a cute furry big monster bear. That's when...it hit me. "Wait. Maya, the office lady, her name is Margret. " I exclaimed. "Yeah, your right. She has red ruby hair and brown eyes." Maya explained. "Wait, that's my Margret. Can you guys help me get to Margret?" He asked with pleading eyes. "Sure but, what's your name?" I asked. "Gooey the Gober." He said. "Well then Gooey, let's get going. " I said, handing the flashlight to Maya and rushing over to the big bear. "What if the other monsters see me? I'll be executed for life." Gooey shivered. "No they won't. You can stay in our dorm since ummmm, our other 2 dorm mates went missing last night." I explained. "Oh yeah. I saw like 8 children wonder sleepily into the forest. " Gooey said. "In which direction?" Maya asked. "In the direction of the Mansion." Gooey explained. "Cmon Gooey, let's goooo." I whined, pulling on his big arm out the cave with Maya leading the way with the flashlight. I spotted a wisk of smoke and the shadow colosuss's beady eyes. I quickly dragged Gooey and Maya behind a huge tree as the shadow passed it, not noticing us.
"This is a horrible idea. I'm to big to hide easily." Gooey sighed sadly. "No Gooey, don't be sad. Let's keep going okay?" I said. He just nodded. Maya led the way with the flashlight as I led Gooey through the trees. We finally reached the bloody lake and stared at the spooky mansion at the left of the lake. The lake looked bigger and redder. How is that even possible?! "Cmon girls. You..." He started." Natalie, she's Maya." I explained. "Alright then. Maya lead the way while Natalie, climb on my back, we have to run." Gooey insisted. I quickly climbed unto his furry back while Maya started running ahead, Gooey and I following her to the crooked mansion. "We better go in." I sighed. I got off Gooey's back and took hold of his hand while Maya lead us into the mansion. It was still as scary as before. We took the right stairs since the left is to risky. We walked up the stairs until we where dragged into a room "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" We yelled until there was a 'shhhhh' sound. "Adrien? Liam?" Maya asked. "Yeah. Guys, ummm, we have all the possible monsters of this whole forest after us." Liam said nervously, scratching behind his neck. "YOU DID WHAT NOW?!" I yelled. "Shhh, they'll hear you. Who's this?" Adrien asked, pointing to Gooey. "I'm Gooey the Gober and I'm an outcasted monster." Gooey introduced himself.
"What is this room?" Maya said in awe, shining the flashlight around the room. "This is the room we found the substance. Turns out it was a baby Slimet. " Adrien explained. He then pulled out the same jar from this morning though now it was a little bigger and there seemed to be a baby creature in it. "I'm naming it Sally since its a girl. There are no monsters in this room so its safe for us for now." Liam sighed, sitting on a wooden chair next to the door. I walked over to him and sat at the seat next to him. "Liam, are you ok?" I asked, concerned. "Yeah just, stressed. What if we don't even get out of here. There are several monsters after us Nate, what'll we do, what where we thinking when we came to this forest in the first place?" Liam sighed. I didn't know what to say. I knew he was right. Tired, I leaned my head on his shoulder. I didn't know whether it was a bad move or just plain wrong thing to do at this time. Liam didn't seem to mind as he rested his head above mine.
"Ok, wake up love birds." Maya shook us awake. "We came up with a plan while you guys where dozed off." Gooey explained. I slowly sat up and squinted my eyes. "What's that?" I asked, pointing to a bunch of weapons in the side of the room. "Oh yeah. So the plan was, we are going to sneak out of the mansion and run back to the banner but since there are to many monsters in this part of the forest, we asked Sally for her secret stash of weapons and now, here they are." Maya explained. "Ok so, do we go now?" Liam asked, slowly lifting my head from his shoulders. "Yeah, we should start heading out because it's already 2 am. " Adrien said. Each of us took a weapon while Sally was placed in Adrien's satchel. We quietly opened the door, sticking our heads out to make sure the way is safe. We then immediatly ran out the room, down the stairs and out the doors without seeing any monsters so far. I then took the flashlight from Maya and lead the way. I lead my friends and Gooey to the banner safely. For some reason, we met no monsters at all. Something was OBVIOUSLY wrong. I then raised the banner for the others and followed last. "We should better get going, I'm already seeing a monster in the distance." Liam warned us, pointing to the black smoke. We ran back to MAC, slowly shutting the doors. We waved goodbye to the boys and we ran up the stairs, Gooey at our tails. Once we got in we locked the door.
"Ok buddy, take that bed. We'll figure everything out tomorrow." Maya said, pointing to her sisters bed. "He'll brake it. Gooey, sleep on the mat." I said, leading him to the mat between me and Maya's bed. I handed him my second pillow and a blanket and we fell asleep. What a crazy night! We met 2 new monsters, and they're our friends, what?!
