"Well, shit.. "
Heiracles started digging Threads of The All into the stonework of the surrounding supporting stone pillars constructing the room for support. Pulling them individually from their mortar and lodging with purely The All made sweat blossom on his face once again, he would then add Threads of Air, launching the 50 pound stone blocks at those that appeared most ready.
One he hadn't noticed off to one side hurled his javelin towards the pair that had just come down into their barracks, while Heiracles was launching blocks towards the opposing side of the room.
Ila'Mu, seeing this, with a sound somewhere between a squeak and a squeal escaping her lips, they threw themself behind and around Heiracles, actively trying to tap into that same Power he had guided them in moments before. There was.. Pain in their chest, but she could feel this Power answering her call, even if only as if a phantom limb.
Holding onto this feeling, she reached out a Thread of Air, pulling the tip of the javelin down, and away from both of it's targets.
Huffing, with sweat now also dripping down their faces, Ila, without letting go of that Thread, used that same Thread of Air, and shoved into and down the very same Dark Duons gaping mouth, their look of surprise turning to alarm as their breathing was cut off. Falling to their knees, grabbing at the invisible Air Thread, trying to pull it away before slowly suffocatingq.
"Heiracles.." Gulping for air, with a mixture of a strange, scared expression on her face, her breathing was ragged and taking gigantic breaths between words, "We.. Can't.. Keep fighting.. Like This.."
"I've. Never killed... Before.. " She next muttered under her breath, that, what Heiracles now recognized as trauma, face still plastered all over her face when he looked back at her.
"I know.. Ila.. But we've.. Barely even.. Got out of the castle.. " He replies between, literally, tearing the pillars apart stone by stone.
Using Threads of Air, Heiracles Wove a barrier compromised of thickened Air between them and their attackers moments before said javelin speared his left shoulder.
"We need to get into the City, but if we have a tail it will all be for naught.." He sighs, as two more hurled javelins are wedged into the thickened Air barrier.
"We shouldn't be far from the ground, this Wall was made only three stories high, with two underground levels. When I say so, head for the windows there." Gesturing off to the right side of the room with his head as he continues to direct the hurled pieces of the stone support pillars at their attackers.
Ila'Mu nods their head, even knowing that Heiracles is no longer looking at them. "Understood, I will continue to help and support you while you prepare."
Shortly after her words enter Heiracles ear, he feels a small child-like hand placed upon the small of his back and he suddenly feels Life Essence pour into his Soul, enhancing both his physical and soul abilities. He could feel the wrinkles and some of the wear and tear he has put his body through over the centuries fade away, the Dark Duon standing before them could see this change before their very eyes. The would-be Prince looked as if his face went through a reverse-aging process. From the worn, 50-something look he had for centuries now, his face now looked to be more late 20s, early 30s.
As he feels the enhancements coursing through his body, the mind fog from using his abilities so much clearer some, along with renewed strength. Heiracles chuckles, "If this is the so called Life Essence ability your people use, I understand why you all hide away in your Mountain.. The Wizarol may be rather peaceful loving, but I know exactly what my people would do for this kind of Power.."
The hand moves away from his back, as Ila'Mu faulter steps, "I. May have overdone it. I. Don't think I can mana..." Ila's words fall short as Heiracles looks back at her once again to see her faint and start to fall.
With alarm in his eyes, he scoops her up before her head can hit the ground. Immediately after which he reached out with all the Earth power he could muster, grabbing ahold of the remaining pillars, and yanking them all down at once causing the ceiling to start collapsing in on the room.
As he is making his mad dash for the window, he reaches out with Threads of Air, creating an invisible slide-like construct that trails over and through the separation of the Wall and the City off towards an secluded alley between two close-packed buildings.
"I'm sorry for dragging you into all of this mess, Ila.. Shit, what was Celine thinking, bringing you to me.. " Shaking his head lightly and straightening up after entering the alleyway, sighing, "Well, I'm sure she brought you to me because it was likely both of our best chances of survival.. That Celine.." Sighing heavily again, it was in that moment Andromedy made her first complaint of the night, crying out for a moment, as Heiracles comforted her wrapped up in the carry sling.
Rocking slightly, 'Shhh, little one. There's nothing to cry over, we must be strong now.. Come, we still have a ways to go before we are in the clear."
Wiping a tear that dared almost fall from his eye, he started making gis way quietly down the alley towards the deserted, dark street ahead.
