The crimson liquid started struggling even more violently. It seemed to have sensed something.

The next instant, the starfish sensed the crimson liquid closing in on it instinctively or for some other reason. It opened its mouth in the middle and swallowed the crimson liquid without any hesitation.

The pentagon starfish started expanding. Its body kept distorting as if there was something struggling violently inside. However, this struggle stopped quickly.
The crimson liquid was only at the low-tier imperial-level while the starfish was at the mid-tier imperial-level. The difference was huge so the devouring and merging process was completed naturally.
To the Blood Sea Spirit, level meant everything.
Only a small portion of the Blood Sea Spirits were stronger than their peers. They might be able to swallow other Blood Sea Spirits of higher levels.
