After hearing my accusation, "Moody" froze for a moment, feeling the shock of my words hit him as he blinked in a daze.

However, this only lasted for a few seconds, and after recovering from the shock he looked at me, trying to pretend he wasn't surprised by what I said.

"I don't think I understand… What did you mean by that?" Barty Junior began to say, with a fake look of confusion on his face, "Why would I be frustrated? And what plans are you talking about?"

And listening to his questions I snorted, because I could tell he was trying to look calm, but I could feel that internally he was panicking.

"I don't know, what about the plans that involve putting Harry's name in the Goblet of Fire and forcing him to participate in the tournament?" I asked back, looking at him disdainfully.

And again my words shocked him, "Mr. Night, I don't know what you're tal--" he started to speak again, but I cut him off, not letting him finish his sentence.

"Enough with the acting, 'Professor Moody'," I said, looking at him coldly, "We both know you're here for a reason, and that reason isn't to tell me how awesome I am, so let's get down to business."

And after I said that, Barry Junior closed his mouth, remaining silent as he looked at me intently.

And I could tell by the calculating, cautious way he was looking at me that he was trying to analyze me and the situation.

The silence between us continued for a while longer, and with my empathy I could feel Barty Junior's agitated emotions slowly calming down.

...

...

...

...

...

"Heh... Hehe..." and after a few seconds of silence Barty Junior suddenly started laughing, making me blink in confusion.

"Hehehe… Hahaha… HAhaHAhAhaHaHA" and then his light laughter quickly turned hysterical and maniacal, making him look like a real madman, which in a way he was.

And now it seemed like he wasn't even bothering to try to look like Moody anymore, and this change made me wary, because I knew things were going to get serious now.

"Hahaha, amazing... Truly amazing," he said between his slowly fading laughter, "It's no wonder that practically everyone considers you the most talented wizard of this generation."

"Well, thanks for the compliment," I said, looking closely at Barty Junior who was calming down from his Joker moment, "But actually all of these people are wrong."

"Oh, are they?" Barty Junior asked, smiling curiously.

"Yes, they are wrong because I am not only the most talented wizard of this generation... I am actually the most talented wizard of the last 3 centuries, at least" I replied, shrugging as if this were a true fact.

And my arrogant and bold answer didn't anger the Death Eater, and he didn't even mind it or think I was joking.

In fact, after hearing me say that, he just looked at me with a thoughtful look, before nodding.

"Well, maybe you're right, and that's what makes you so different and special compared to others of your… race," he said, saying the last part with a certain contempt and disgust.

"Oh sure, obviously the racist would have to talk about the 'mudbloods' and 'filthy muggles' he hates so much" I rolled my eyes.

"Come on man, don't you Death Eaters have anything else to do besides complain and cry like a bitch because you're being surpassed by people with no magical heritage and new to the wizarding world?" I asked, not hiding the mockery in my tone.

And what I said probably would have made Barty Junior angry or offended, but he didn't pay attention to anything else I said after I said two specific words.

"Death Eaters?" Fake Moody repeated, his eyes widening slightly, "How did you—"

"How do I know you're a Death Eater?" I interrupted him, completing his question for him, "Well, that's a secret for me to know, and for you to never find out," I smiled mischievously.

And hearing this Barty Junior's right eye twitched in irritation, 'Cheeky brat' he thought.

And without knowing his thoughts I continued, "But well, what I can tell you for now is that it wasn't that hard to find out that you're a Death Eater... Just like it wasn't that hard to find out that you weren't the real Alastor Moody" I said.

And hearing this information, False Moody blinked for a moment.

"So you know about it too..." he muttered, nodding to himself.

After that he looked back at me, and I could see that there was a glint in his eyes, "Well, since you already know that I'm not the crazy old Auror, then I have no more reason to continue hiding my identity."

"Oh?" I raised an eyebrow.

And under my gaze Barty Junior began his introduction, "My name is Bartemius Crouch Junior, a Death Eater of the Dark Lord's inner circle, being his most loyal and faithful follower until the day of his sudden disappearance and my arrest."

"And well, you probably don't know me, but I'm pretty sure you know my late father, someone important in the ministry, known, respected and feared by many people, and who was also one of the main organizers and judges of this tournament."

"Oh, and I can't forget to say that he was also the one who locked me up in Azkaban and illegally got me out of there, before being killed by my own hands," Barty Junior finished, with a madly happy smile on 'his' scarred face.

And while smiling, Barty Junior also looked at me, staring at me expectantly as he waited for a shocked reaction from me.

But contrary to what he expected, I showed no reaction to his admission of murder.

In fact, after hearing what he said, I placed my hand on my chin, with a thoughtful look as I pretended to reflect on who his father was.

And with the tips he gave I pretended to think for a few seconds, before my eyes widened slightly in realization.

"Oh, your dad's Bagman?!" I said, pretending to be happily surprised.

And as soon as I said that, Barty Junior's smile froze, before being replaced by a frown.

"No!" he quickly denied, "My father isn't that fat, loudmouth idiot, my father is Bartemius Crouch Senior!" he said, glaring at me.

He might not like his father for abandoning him, imprisoning him, and keeping him in forced confinement being watched over by a house elf for years, but being related to Bagman was something much worse and much more offensive to him than that.

And after this 'surprising revelation' I dropped my fake expression of surprise, just looking at Barty Junior with an almost bored look on my face.

And seeing that I had no reaction to his paternal secret being revealed, Barty Junior blinked, feeling his irritation being replaced by confusion.

...

...

...

"Huh... You don't seem very surprised by that information..." he said after a few seconds, making a confused face.

"And why would I be?" I asked.

"Err, because I just reveal that I, a Death Eater, am the son of a respected ministry official who was once the Head of the DMLE, captain of all Aurors? The same one who had a record of arresting dark wizards almost comparable to Mad-Eye's? And who also almost became the Minister of Magic?" he replied, looking at me strangely.

"Yes, and?" I raised an eyebrow.

"..."

"..."

"..."

"You know, at least try to show some reaction to this information. That bored look of yours makes people discouraged," he said, sighing in disappointment.

"Well, I would have shown some reaction if you had told me something I didn't know," I shrugged.

"Huh? So you knew who I was and who my father was before I told you?" He asked me in surprise.

"That's obvious," I said, waving my hand dismissively, "If I could figure out that you were just an impostor and not the real Moody, then I could obviously figure out your true identity as well."

"...I see," Barty Junior nodded, not having considered this, 'Come to think of it, he even knew I was a Death Eater, so it shouldn't be a surprise that he knew my identity,' he mused.

"But you know," I started speaking again, pulling him out of his thoughts, "You seem pretty relaxed for someone who is revealing so many secrets and crimes committed while attacking a champion on a live broadcast for hundreds of people to see." I looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

"Really?" he asked, with a half-playful look.

"Yes, really" I nodded slowly, "Aren't you worried about the Aurors storming the maze at any moment to arrest you?" I asked.

"Oh, not really, mainly because I already took care of that," he said.

"Have you taken care of that?" I repeated, confused.

"Yeah," Barty Junior nodded, "I just needed a simple spell there and a little sabotage here, and now no one will be able to see what's going on in this area of the maze." he smirked.

And hearing this I frowned, 'So he did something with the two-way mirrors...' I thought, before using my Magic Vision to look at the mirrors, seeing that there really was a different magic interfering with them.

'Apparently he had this ambush planned for some time' I realized, looking back at Barty Junior who seemed strangely satisfied.

End.
