"Ah, then I'll stir-fry another plate of green vegetables, making it exactly six dishes," Aunt Sun said with a nod.
By the time Aunt Sun finished cooking and brought all the dishes to the table, she looked at Jiang Mianmian with warmth and said, "Mianmian, it's your first time here, and I don't know what you like to eat. I made a few more sweet and sour dishes, thinking it might suit a child's taste."
"Thank you, Aunt Sun. I'm not picky; I like everything you make," Jiang Mianmian said sweetly.
"Good, good. What a nice child. Now, hurry up and eat before it gets cold," Aunt Sun said with a smile.
At the large table, only Jiang Mianmian and Yu Cheng sat across from each other eating, with Yu Cheng not being much of a talker during meals.
Jiang Mianmian glanced at Yu Cheng and wondered if he would have been eating alone every day if she hadn't come. How lonely would that be?
She liked it when meal times were lively and noisy.
