I woke up screaming my lungs out terrified by the ordeal I just went through and feeling happiness at the thought of having survived . After letting out a short yet a well deserved scream of despair and defiance against death I calmed down taking very deep breaths of relief into my lungs.
I then inspected my surroundings which I ignored for my earlier for convenience.
I grew confused finding myself in an office chair surrounded by a white void stretching beyond as far as the eye can see.
I started to panic when I saw this scene at first but when I looked beyond the desk which was placed Infront of me and saw a strange being staring at me it made me awestruck.
The strange person who sat before me in a similar looking chair I was in was not a human, I was sure that.
The reason for that and the reason for my shock was the ever changing face the being had on.
One moment the being wore the face of a beautiful older woman. The next moment the woman's face faded to reveal the face of an youthful looking teenage boy. Like this the facial features of the being remained ever changing .
Never repeating the same face.
The being wore a top hat on his head which hid most of his hair but the hat never changed unlike his appearance .
The remaining locks of hair of the being which fell on his shoulders changed colour along with the colour of his skin which remained matching his ever changing face.
He wore a expensive looking suit with matching dress shoes and a tie which also remained the same.
Beside his chair there was a walking cane which he rests his gloved hands on .
When I saw the strange being I knew I was dead , it was either i was dead or I was delusional .
Now given what I had shortly gone through that may as well be likely. As I stared at his face the strange being let out a small sigh.
" Now that you are calm enough let me introduce myself "
He said in his ever changing voice while standing up and slightly bowing. I nodded slightly to that gesture hiding my apprehension I felt because of the situation.
He continued regardless.
" As you may have already guessed you have died. Now as you are dead it is my job as an outer god in charge of reincarnation to guide you to your next life. As such you can refer to me as the Guide ".
I never interrupted his introduction after hearing he was a god but I was a bit no I was very shocked. He elaborated Futher whilst chuckling a bit and sitting down.
" No need to be so shocked there are many gods out their in the multiverse and I am just one of them. If you have any questions you can ask I will answer to best of my knowledge."
I gave a wary smile and gathered up my courage and said.
"I did not even know gods were real much less the multiverse until now."
The being smiled at me when I said that .
I took a deep breath and asked the question that mattered most to me now.
" so what will happen to me now".
Before starting to explain.
" For starters...
