Noah crept stealthily through the brush towards the storage building, careful not to make any loud noises, or to move too quickly. He kept his eyes trained on the one guard in the area, who appeared to be falling asleep on his feet. He still was careful to be as quiet and slow as possible as one mistake could wake him up and get everyone in the camp to be on his trail. It was well into the night and the moon was nearing its peak in the sky. When Noah got into the bush that was nearest to the storage building, he quickly ran along the side of the building until he was out of the sight of the guard. Once he got there, he stopped and waited to see if he was caught, but after waiting for quite a few seconds he didn't hear anything that you mean he was caught. After confirming that the bandits didn't know that he was here, he began to slowly walk along the side of the building. Once he got to the corner of the building, he stuck his head out and looked around to see if there was anyone out in the open in the camp. After he saw that there wasn't anyone out in the open of the camp, he quickly rounded the corner and ran towards the door. Once he got to the door, he checked to see if it was unlocked, and, to his surprise, it was unlocked. The door obediently swung silently open and showed the contents of the building for Noah to see. He stood in front of the door in shock before quickly recovering and heading inside, carefully closing the door silently behind him. It was hard to see inside the building as the only light that was present was the moonlight that was lightly streaming through the one window in the front wall. From what Noah could see, the building was about 10 meters by 20 meters, and it contained a multitude of supplies. He saw some clothes, boxes, and barrels. When seeing this, he sighed while thinking about the work it would take to find food. His stomach growled when he thought about food which caused him to panic a bit. He shook his head and thought, 'I'm not going to be found out by my stomach growling. Wow, my hunger is really weighing on me. Well, I might as well get to work.' He moved over to the nearest box and lifted up the cover. In it he found a few pieces of stolen jewelry. He sighed and moved over to a barrel and repeated the process.
It took a while before Noah found some food. It was the seventh box he opened, and in it he found some loaves of bread. He quickly grabbed one and wolfed it down almost instantly. Once he was done eating, he sighed in relief, and he began to grab a few of them, placing them into his bag. Once he was done with that, he closed the box, and he moved over to another box and opened it. In it he found pieces of jerky in it. He quickly grabbed some and also put them into his bag. Once he finished packing pieces of jerky, he put the box cover back onto it. He crept over to the closed door and put his ear on it. He listened to hear if there was anything going on outside in order to know if it was safe for him to leave.
After a small while of listening, Noah slowly and silently opened the door and peered outside. After he saw that there wasn't anyone outside, he quickly slipped outside, silently shut the door, and swiftly rounded the corner of the storage building. Once he rounded the corner, he slowed down and walked more cautiously along the wall of the building. Once he got to the other corner of the building, he took a deep breath and began to run towards the bushes that he was hiding in previously. However, as he began to run towards the bushes, he ran into something. He stumbled back and put his hand on his forehead, a little bit dazed and confused. He quickly regained his composure and looked up to see what he had run into.
Noah had run into a bandit that was acting as a guard. When he noticed this, he took a quick breath, and, as he did this, his eyes and the bandit's made eye contact. At first the bandit was confused as to why Noah was here, but, as he inspected him, he noticed Noah's packed bag. He quickly put two and two together, and he began to call out to alert the rest of the camp. However, before the bandit could do that, Noah nearly instantly grabbed his spear and stuck it into the bandit's throat. Noah quickly pushed it through the bandit's throat, and he began to force the bandit to walk away from the camp by walking into him. The bandit had grabbed his own throat and was trying to speak but was only succeeding in making gurgling sounds because of the blood in his throat. The bandit soon realized that this attempt wasn't working and began to hit Noah with his fists. It was too late for this to work however as the blood loss had severely sapped his strength, and Noah just weathered the blows. Eventually, Noah got fed up with the bandits' futile attempts, and he pushed the bandit onto the group. He pulled his spear out of the bandits' throat, but the bandit was too weak at this point to realize what Noah had done before he had stuck his spear into the bandit's head.
Noah quickly stepped on the dead bandit's chest in order to prevent the rest of his body from coming up when he pulled his spear out, and he pulled his spear out of his head. Once he pulled it out, he put it on his back, not bothering to clean it, and he grabbed the arms of the dead bandit's corpse. He then began to pull the corpse towards the nearby bushes in order to hide it. He didn't care about the path that he was creating by dragging the body as the bandits were going to find the corpse the next day anyways, and they were going to find out that he stole food from them. He just didn't want them to find it immediately and waste some time looking for the corpse. Right now, his priority was getting as far away from the camp as quickly as he could, so, right when he had dragged the bandit's corpse into the bushes, he quickly ran off in a straight line away from the camp and towards Spearhead. He didn't care about covering his path in case the camp sent some people to follow him because, if the bandits were intelligent, they would stop following him right when they realized where he was going. In the case that the bandits kept following him towards Spearhead, that would serve as a way to distract Nightmare from finding him as it would be easier to find, or stumble across, a ground than it is to do the same to one person. He wasn't too concerned about what action the bandits took when it came to following him or not as both options were in his favor. In fact, he actually would prefer if the group the bandits sent would keep following him so that they could distract Nightmare away from him. There was also the chance that the group may announce that they were following someone that had stolen from them to Nightmare when he confronts the group, but he also wasn't too concerned about that as the bandits wouldn't know why he was up on Spearhead which would force Nightmare to search the entire mountain if he wanted to find him.
Noah ran for the rest of the night and for a good portion of the next day, only taking time for very brief periods of rest in order for him to gain some of his stamina back, even then he would still keep on walking. Whenever he began to feel hungry or thirsty, he would eat or drink and keep on running at the same time. He only stopped running and stood still when he saw the area that Nightmare ripped the trees out on the horizon. He was breathing heavily and was nearing falling asleep on his feet. He walked over to a nearby tree, sat against it, and almost instantly fell into a deep sleep.
It was well into the afternoon, but not quite evening, when Noah fell asleep, and he stayed asleep until he woke up the next day. When he did wake up, it was well past sunrise as the sun was about three quarters up to its peak in the sky. He woke up quite smoothly, and he felt very refreshed and energetic. He got up and thought about what he had to do and sighed.
