mason told all the students to find themself a partner who they will train for today, everyone started to look around for a partner soon all the people had found themselves a partner for the training which will be competing for today. john too found himself a partner who was a spear user and had similar battle strength to him. The boy was named martin and was a little self-center just like him so he was not able to find anyone as his partner but john asked him to become his partner.
both of them soon take a stance to battle each other. martin readies his spear and john wields his blade. in a split minute, martin stabs the spear towards john who dodges it with a side step and counterattacks with a horizontal strike. which martin blocks with his spear shaft. after which he prevents John from attacks with a defensive stance. and counter attacks with swift stabs while creating distance between both of them. he then uses a spear to slice the blade out of john hand but john doges the attack and strikes at martin in return using his excellent mobility but he was duped by martin in the attack and counter him with an outward thrust directed at him. which caused him to move backward's this went on for a long period until the first battle session of theirs came to end with john left in the dust without finding any opening in their spar and was always kept on bay leading to a never-ending stalemate.
due to time restraints, their battle was considered a draw. but john knew that he was at a disadvantage the whole time and martin was also in better shape than he had expected him to be in after all he was almost out of stamina but martin was holding up very well. John thanked martin for the bought and asked him if they could battle again tomorrow which martin agree upon.
Mason was looking at the students and told them that most of them were good at the control of their weapons and were making good use of them but almost all of the students had many holes in tier battle and skill levels and told them each of them will receive a detailed report of their battle and training next week from which they can find themselves a logical soln to their problems in the combat and work on them.
all the classes came to end after the combat classes so he started to make his way back to this dorm. soon he reaches back to his dorm where he performs his regular exercises and meditated for the whole of the evening after which he starts to cultivate the new techniques he bought a day before.
he cultivated the techniques until nightfall after which he ordered his dinner which arrived after a few minutes which he ate and went to rest for the night. he woke up early in the morning to do his daily workout. he then went on to prepare for the classes he had today so he decided to bring his molten monkey card with him for his monster duel that would take place in the evening. he then left the dorm to attend his mineral and basic cultivation resources details class which was to be held in the morning so he reached his designated class as soon as he could. he enter the room and sat in waiting for his teacher to arrive. soon a man entered the room and started to address the class and introduced himself as professor Miller and told everyone he was a 3-star researcher and will be proving them with the knowledge of the material and resource up to platinum grade.
he then went on to provide them with a very large manual which will be their core study material for the classes and then asked all of them to try to learn as much material recorded in the book for their good luck, after which he started to introduce them to the basic of the resources and their basic usage in various portions, formation and various other aspects in training themselves as well as the monster cards of theirs.
the class went on for a long period of time as the class was quite boring and was not very interesting so as soon as the session was complete. all the students left. few remained behind due to various personal reasons. this didn't trigger by the reaction of all the students as he was used to this kind of situation.
after a short break they headed to the tamer battle arena as they had the next session on this topic, john was particularly excited about this session as this was one of the reasons he decided to enter the academy so he started to move towards the arena when he sees that the teacher was already there. he introduced himself as Jole and he will be their guide for this session and asked them to bring out their strongest monster they can summon as of now for their basic monster battle. so john decided it would be best he pair up with martin as they knew about each other and will be the best partner according to him.
so all other students started to pair up to learn this battle style. soon the pair were formed and all the students were hyped for the battle as this was a whole new experience for them all. as all the student were ready to battle. the instructor Jole stopped them and handed them a booklet of rules that were to be followed by them in the battle which came as surprise to them.
all the students including John were deflated by the interruption but he found it necessary so he went on to take a look at the book as this was an important part of the battle style he wanted to learn.
