The movie played in the background, but Skyy and Chen barely noticed it. Their minds were too preoccupied with the diary and the ominous warning it had contained. As the night deepened, the tension in the room became almost palpable.
Skyy glanced over at Chen, whose face was illuminated by the flickering light of the TV. Chen's usually calm demeanor was replaced by a look of deep concentration. Skyy knew better than to press for details, so he focused on the movie, hoping it might offer a temporary escape from their worries.
After the film ended, Chen excused himself, claiming he needed some fresh air. Skyy, feeling restless, followed him outside. The night was cool, and the stars above twinkled in the vast darkness. They walked silently, each lost in their own thoughts.
