Copper was one of the easiest metals to find and silver was middle ground but gold mines were something rare to find nowadays after all all gold mines either ran out or are under protection of some kingdom and platinum was the rarest metal and the most valuable coin but Mikael didn't have much knowledge of the values of the coins of this world.
