The inside of the Cathedral was no less ostentatious as the outside. The rooms were broad, and long, and high-vaulted, with archways that seemed to reach up to Saule herself, where she might hang there in the evening sky. Just now it was passing afternoon, and the sun would soon sink into the horizon and light all the colored glass in pretty, multifaceted shades. It reminded Malik somewhat of a crystal that his father had hung in front of one of their keep's few windows. It would catch the light and refract it into shattered rainbows that would dance through the keep's otherwise dim interiors. Malik wondered briefly what it would look like through the church's stained glass.
