Back in his chamber, Jason sensed the outcome of the battle through his ethereal strings. A satisfied smirk crossed his face.
"Good," He murmured. "Now, let the Blood Red Hall drown in the consequences of their hubris. And let the world see that a new force has emerged. It's time for Heaven and Earth Sect to take the stage."
The strings pulsed once more, their vibrations echoing with the silent promise of Jason's next move.

Far away in the distance lay the Bai Da Empire
Shenlong City, the heart of the Bai Da Empire, shimmered like a crown jewel under the midday sun. Its streets bustled with merchants hawking their wares, nobles parading their wealth, and citizens proudly bearing the colors of their empire. From the tallest tower of the Shen Palace, Emperor Shen Wuyang surveyed his realm, his chest swelling with pride. Victory was a mantle he wore with ease, and his court reflected his self-assured grandeur.
Within the grand hall of the Shen Palace, jade pillars carved with mythical dragons gleamed under the flickering light of golden chandeliers. Ministers, advisors, and generals filled the room, their ornate robes swishing as they presented themselves before the emperor. Seated on his gilded throne, Shen Wuyang, his golden robe embroidered with phoenixes, leaned back with a satisfied smirk as reports flowed in.
"Speak, Minister Shen Zhou," Shen Wuyang commanded, his voice resonant and confident.
The minister, a middle-aged man with sharp eyes and an even sharper tongue, stepped forward, bowing deeply. "Your Majesty, the borders remain secure. Trade routes continue to flourish, with caravans pouring wealth into our coffers. Our spies report no significant movements from the Heavenly Bow Empire since the fall of Kalise. The shadow of Bai Da looms too large for them to act."
A murmur of approval rippled through the hall as ministers exchanged satisfied nods. The emperor's smirk widened.
"Good, good!" Shen Wuyang exclaimed, rising to his feet. "Let the world tremble before the might of Bai Da! Kalise's defeat was but a chapter in our story. If you lost a small land then so be it... Do they think a mere victory will unseat the dragon on his throne? Let them celebrate their small triumph. It will be short-lived."
General Liang, a seasoned warrior with a scar running across his cheek, stepped forward. He slammed a fist against his armored chest in salute. "Your Majesty's wisdom and strength have ensured our dominance. The Heavenly Bow Empire is a fractured land, clinging to desperate hope. They lack the strength to stand against us, and they know it."
"Indeed," Minister Qian Hui chimed in, a younger minister known for his eloquence. "The name of Bai Da inspires both awe and dread across the continents. Our empire's grandeur is unmatched. The heavens themselves have chosen you, Your Majesty, to lead us into an era of eternal prosperity."
The court erupted into applause, a cacophony of praise and adulation. Shen Wuyang raised his hand, signaling for silence, though his expression betrayed his delight at the flattery.
"You speak well, Minister Qian Hui," The emperor said, his voice tinged with satisfaction. "The heavens favor the strong, and Bai Da is destined to reign supreme. The fall of Kalise is but a careless mistake. Let the Heavenly Bow Empire enjoy this small victory. Soon, the Heavenly Bow Empire and all who dare oppose us will kneel before our might."
Amid the sea of praise, a single figure remained silent. Prime Minister Wei Yan, an elderly man with snow-white hair and piercing eyes, stepped forward. The room fell silent, the atmosphere shifting as Wei Yan's reputation for speaking blunt truths preceded him.
"Your Majesty," Wei Yan began, bowing respectfully, "Our victories are indeed cause for celebration, but they must also serve as a reminder of the challenges that lie ahead. The Heavenly Bow Empire may be quiet now, but desperation can breed ingenuity. A cornered beast fights fiercest when it has nothing to lose."
The hall grew tense, the air thick with unease. Shen Wuyang's smile faded, replaced by a frown. "Are you suggesting that Bai Da cannot handle a desperate foe, Wei Yan?"
"Never, Your Majesty," Wei Yan replied quickly, his tone steady. "But history teaches us that empires often fall not from external threats but from complacency within. We must remain vigilant, ensuring that our strength does not breed arrogance or division among our people."
Shen Wuyang studied the prime minister, his gaze sharp. For a moment, the court held its breath, waiting to see how the emperor would respond. Then, he laughed, a deep, booming sound that echoed through the hall.
"Ah, Wei Yan, ever the voice of caution," Shen Wuyang said, shaking his head. "Your wisdom is valued, but do not mistake our confidence for complacency. Bai Da's strength is unshakable. Let them plot and scheme. It will avail them nothing against the dragon's might."
With a wave of his hand, Shen Wuyang signaled the end of the court session. "Enough of these reports. Tonight, we celebrate our strength! A grand feast shall be held in honor of Bai Da's victories. Let the wine flow and the music play, for we are the masters of this world!"
The hall erupted into cheers, the tension dissipating as quickly as it had come. Ministers and generals bowed deeply, their voices raised in unison. "Long live His Majesty! Long live the Bai Da Empire!"
As the court dispersed, whispers filled the air. Some spoke of the emperor's unwavering confidence, others of Wei Yan's cautious warnings. Beneath the surface, a current of unease flowed, unnoticed by most but felt by a few.
Later that evening, as the palace prepared for the grand feast, Wei Yan stood alone in the shadow of a towering pillar, his expression grim. A young aide approached, bowing deeply.
"Prime Minister, your words of caution were bold," The aide said quietly.
Wei Yan sighed, his gaze fixed on the distant horizon. "The emperor is a man of great ambition, but ambition can blind even the wisest to the dangers that lurk in the shadows. The Heavenly Bow Empire may be silent now, but silence is not the absence of action. It is the calm before the storm. Mark my words, the seeds of chaos have already taken root within our borders. The question is not if they will sprout but when."
As the palace erupted into celebration, the prime minister's warning lingered, unheard amidst the revelry. Shen Wuyang, bathed in the glow of victory, remained oblivious to the cracks forming beneath his empire's golden façade.
For while the Bai Da Empire stood tall and proud, its foundations trembled, unseen but ever-present—a silent storm waiting to be unleashed.
