"Ridiculous!" Caesar slammed his right hand on the table, his expression filled with frustration. His left hand clutched a long scroll, which he then waved in the air as if trying to vent his irritation physically. "Is Emily messing with me on purpose? How in the world am I supposed to be satisfied with just this?!"
"Is it really that bad?" Alexander, standing beside him, calmly extended his hand, silently requesting the scroll from Caesar.
Alexander was not just Caesar's first assistant— he was, for all intents and purposes, the unofficial Supreme General for an extended period. In the early years of Caesar's reign as Supreme General, he had left nearly all administrative and executive matters in Alexander's capable hands, only choosing to appear when it was time for battle.
