Chapter 20 - 20 Journey to Ximpton

Levyndrion had to go back to Ximpton as soon as possible now that the wedding was over, one would take days to reach at Dillonia or likewise at Ximpton, but he has his won means, he arrived in a day and it was time to go back.

The Kingdom wasn't alone, it was under safe hands but the his presence completes it. Audrey would be escorted to Ximpton tomorrow morning.

She laid on her bed already changed into a comfortable dress, she was recalling the whole event over and over, since she entered the Chapel, his broad back, those eyes pand the kiss! she still had the butterflies on her stomach, this would be their second time, back then when she helped him with CPR and now .... she covered her face with a pillow blushing very hard, only God knows how many times she did since she saw him.

She couldn't believe that she is finally married, she is someone's wife, her name would hold a bigger title now 'Queen of Ximpton ' she couldn't wait for morning to come so she could go to that nation already, beautiful nation as her memories recalled. Suddenly something flashed in her mind and her smile fell, she became sad but then its the truth although its bitter, he is not yours get hold of yourself before you get hurt! she scolded herself , her hairs slowly turned to white colour, that's a code for her being sad and lonely. She got down the bed and walked to her closet, she opened a little drawer and took out a flute, a silver metallic flute, she smiled bitterly looking at it, tears rolling down her cheeks "I wish you were here today brother Phelipe, I missed you" she said in a low tone and walked to the window, pushing it open, she leaned on it and parted her delicate lips and slowly began to blow the flute .... creating a sweet and harmonious sound, she kept playing in one code until her eyes shut completely getting lost in the melody.

It was her brother Phelipe who gave this to her on her birthday several years ago, before he went tonthe borders to guard the Kingdom thaybone day would be his, until then he never returned even once and she wasn't allowed to visit him.

The two loves each other dearly and the brother always spoiled his little sister a lot, he would do whatever she wanted, he would cover up for her whenever she does something wrong, he even killed a lot of a people who dared to misbehave with her since his little sister was fond of going down town. Phelipe was simply a definition of a perfect and the best brother to Audrey, and for him not to be present on her wedding day made her heart grieve in pain.

The long awaited sun finally came, the rays shone on jer beautiful sleeping face, making her eyebrows furrow and her eyes to squint. "Mmm" she groaned.

Xara pulled up the the remaining curtains filling the room with bright morning sun. "Rey dear ..... I think the carriage is already here" she said looking at her teasingly, after rolling and turning on the bed for several times she finally reached her heels to the floor, yawning and stretching her body like a stray cat.

"Tell them I grew wings so I'll just fly there instead" she uttered making the old woman chuckle, talking about the wings she suddenly recalled the huge bat from last night, it was her first time to witness such big size of bat and wide wings.

A hand came to her face and clicked fingers to bring her back to reality, "To the bathroom my Queen, I see you've already began to daydream your handsome King" said a girl giggling. Audrey bit the inside of her cheeks for they were becoming hot at the mention of her husband. "Stop it Annietta!" scolded Xara, the girl furrowed "Come on mama! I just teased her, not kill her" she reasoned shrugging her shoulders, she was Xara's daughter.

Audrey sat down on a couch and rested her chin on her palms looking at the duo as if it was her favourite thing to do, the two lobed to quarrel and Audrey enjoyed them most of the time. "Exactly! Why would you tease your Queen? Do you have a death wish? Is that how you are going to serve her at Ximpton?" the old woman seemed provoked by her daughter, she started to lash at her ... giving her an earful.

"Gosh this old woman! I did it because I know were alone! your daughter here is not as dumb as you think I am, I'll never do that in public" she retorted, carelessly talking back to her mother, Rey shook her head chuckling, Annietta is an impossible one , just like her and that is why the tow of them always get along.

"Do you mind if I tease you Audrey?" Annietta turned to her with confidence Audrey wondered when did the table turn to her and shook her head like a rattle, Rey would never mind if Annietta teases her ... infact ... she prefers how straightforward and open minded she is, she would say whatever comes to her mind. Instead of Xara who was always worried and would use honorifics most of the time. Xara gusped "You shouldn't support her my Princess! that mischievous girl is totally wrong, I can't stop worrying about how her service to you would be with that sharp tongue of hers" she shouted a glare at her daughter .

"Ah! seriously? ..." she paused rolling her eyes before continuing "Are you really my mother? How could you doubt your own genes? Oh for heaven sake I'm done with this! Come my Queen let's wash you up" she pulled Audrey by her shoulders ushering her to the bathroom, she could only giggle at their funny banter. "Stop worrying too much Xara, Annie is the best choice to cover your spot" she shot her a warm smile to assure her, "You should tell her!" supported Annie glancing at her mother and closed the door.

Xara's shoulders dropped, sigh .... this troublemaker of hers would surely cause troubles and why did Audrey have to pick her to serve her out of all the ones who were qualified? "Oh god please look after my daughters, protect them" she murmured her prayers looking up to the sky.

After several emotional breakdown either her parents Audrey finally bid her farewell with everyone else, the people who were closer to her including her friend.... Gwen and her former Knight Bretts. The two girls hugged each other sobbing, "I am happy for you Rey, I'm going to miss both of you" said Gwen looking at Annie behind them between her sobs. Audrey pulled her for a hug again, she then wiped her tears "I'll miss both if you two but .... it's not like I'm going to die there, I'll write to you everytime that would write to my parents" she smiled sweetly, Gwen returned a smile and then fished inside her coat, she took out a book wrapped with a peace of cloth and handed it to her "I am truly sorry Rey, but you might need this book there, remember me by this okay?" she uttered with her moisty eyes. Audrey couldn't understand what she meant but she never doubted her best friend, it must be something beneficial to her sonship just smiled at her "Okay .... thank you, Brett take good care of Gwen for me" she gave him a stern look making the man smile and bowed respectfully "Take care Princess".

She turned back to her parents for the last time, they were standing with her father giving her mother a back hug, she was sobbing a lot and that broke her heart, they gave her an earful this whole week before jer wedding and even today ... they lectured her a lot, they smiled at her, she smiled back and turned to leave quickly before they could see her tears, she got into her royal white carriage, Annietta sat beside her helping her to wipe her tears, the carriage had four black horses and big four wheels making it higher. The coachman slapped the horses lightly and they slowly began to trot. A group of soldiers escorting jer to Ximpton, they divided themselves for more safety, some at front, some at the middle and at the back.

As they walks down the villages of Dillonia, the citizens kept on praising and cheering for her, some sang their native and tribal songs and threw petals as the carriage passes.

They went with the journey until dusk came and they had to camp at the nearby Inn for the night, it wasn't safe to roam around in the middle of the night.

The carried on for a second day and had to camp in the middle of the forest since they were already out of Dillonia using the different borders to where her brother was stationed. The soldiers were alert to assure the Queen's safety, Audrey could only wonder how he husband was able to arrive at Dillonia's in one day if Ximpton was this much far, she was already tired of the stupid carriage. She would've just used a horse but due to safety measures she was stuck in the carriage.
