Well, what can I say, my idea was well received. Dad closed the law firm for indefinite time. For which he had to settle a lot of clients and those that will take time were recommended by him to some of his colleges in the profession. And mum started getting everything in order. Starting from cancellation of current services and also booked us for International travel package for our magic newspaper like daily prophet, witch weekly and such.
She also booked us for an appointment at St. Mungo's, and as well as muggle hospital for any vaccination we might need for our trip.
And I started my collection of books on magic as well as everything that interested me. What he didn't know was that one day said collection will be so grand that he can't imagine how many people will crave for a glimpse of it.
So now in the magical side of Britain, Diagon alley stood the father and son duo.
"So where to first dad."
"Hmm, let me take you to the bookstore first, and I'll go to Gringotts to exchange for some gallons."
"Kay."

In the bookstore, I stare all the books there are and instantly get fascinated by them. And I start picking all the books that catch my interest. From obvious 'theory on magic' by different authors for better perspective too 'Most useful charms', or 'Charms lost to time'.
I picked books like a teenage girl picking dress for selection with the difference that they might buy just one or two of those, if any, where as I have the intention of buying all I am picking.
" Boy aren't you like buying a lot. " A deep voice came from the counter. As he turned he saw that an old man with colonel sanders (KFC old man) beard was staring at him with interest.
"Well I was of the assumption that shopkeepers like when people buy more from their stores. So what about it?"
"No, no, don't get me wrong, it's just that not everyday do you get to see a boy your age that is interested in books."
"Well you tell that I am a genius and don't compare me to those snot nose brats."
"Hahaha.." The old man was stunned by the reply for a moment but then started laughing out loud.
"Good, good, well it's been a while since someone has made me laugh this well. So tell me if you have something specific in mind and I'll point you to it."
"Ohh, then please show me where books on magical creatures are." Alex immediately turned into a polite tone after the old man offered his help.
"If you are looking to build a good foundation of said knowledge, then I recommend you start with Garen Masoof and Su Lao's books on magical creatures." Amused at the boy's antics the man gave him his honest recommendation.
"And also something to start my Occlumency and Legilimency training." Asked Alex just as he was going away to search for the recommended books.
"Why don't you finish the rest of your shopping I'll have your Occlumency and Legilimency books ready for you on the counter." Getting more amused by the boy the old man thought to help the boy by picking a more comprehensive book than to the current mediocre books that are being circulated. And how much he gets from said books will be on his own efforts.

Curtis enters the shop and smiled as he saw his son next to a big pile of books and chatting with the old man at the counter.
"Alex look what I have got for you."
"Haa..." Alexander gasps at the cute creature he saw his father carry. And as he got close to what seemed like a small snow white baby owl.
The owl started at him and he too stared into her violet eyes. Don't ask how he know's she is girl, he just does. He also saw an intelligence which he is sure is also uncommon for magical owls.

The adults just looked at this interaction with amusement.
"I guess you'll need a book on how to raise magical owls too now."
