Gabriel Brooke had, of course, been keeping an eye on the Warden Family's affairs. Initially, he hadn't realized the situation had escalated quite so severely because the Wardens were keeping a tight lid on things, and Adam Brooke hadn't intervened, likely due to instructions from Third Old Master Brooke. Otherwise, given the relationship between the Wardens and the Brooke Family, the Old Master usually wouldn't stand by idly.
And then, there was Landon Brooke, who's known to play by his own rules. Previously, he seemed to care a lot about the Warden Family, but now he was silent, showing no signs of fighting for them at all.
This left Gabriel Brooke quite puzzled. If it was about holding a grudge against Iris Warden, then targeting the entire Warden Family didn't seem to make sense, did it?
"With all this secrecy, how come you've never mentioned before that Landon has a terrible relationship with Iris Warden?"
