He looked at me with care. "Now, you have to sleep, okay?"
I nodded. The warmth of his voice was soothing, and I nuzzled closer to him, resting my head against his chest while lying down sideways next to me. I can hear his heartbeat, it is slow and steady. I let it guide my breathing, syncing the rhythm until the sharpness behind my eyelids dulled into something quiet until sleep found me.
"Ah!" I gasped. A white-hot sting tore through my chest that woke me up. I jolted upright with a soft cry. "It hurts… it hurts again," I clutch at my breasts. I feel the pain bloom fast, searing under my skin like fire trying to push its way out.
"Rackie?" Master's voice cut through the dark, groggy but alert. He pulls away to look at me. "What's wrong?"
"It is full again… I can't…" My words broke as I gasped from the pain. I did not think it would flare up badly."
