Ivan
There was nothing when I left her side.
No explosion or light, no doorway that let me walk through, or something pulling me away. One moment, I was staring at my mate, marveling at what she was giving me; the next, I was back in Aya's garden home. Somehow, that made things worse. It felt like I was abandoning Nefra, even though I knew I wasn't. However, I'm not ungrateful. Our time was a gift, and whoever gave it to us didn't have to.
Aya was pouring herself another drink, and it looked like no time had passed since I was pulled.
