Robert Griffith felt displeased, saying coldly, "Another game!"
"No more for today." William responded, starting to pack away the chess pieces.
But Robert was too engrossed in the game and wasn't in a good mood when he had to pause, "Stay for dinner. We'll play another round after!"
William calmly continued, moving without hurry, "I have plans already and can't stay."
Robert huffed coldly; he had an idea who William could be meeting. Almost without thinking, he blurted, "Then let her...." He stopped halfway, realising he was wrong, and muttered, "Fine, just leave! Go dine with whoever you want!"
Without another word, William packed the pieces and agreed to continue the game the next day. He then turned and left.
Robert sat staring at the chess pieces on the table, murmuring to himself: 'I will beat him tomorrow!'
