Yuuji walked to school alongside Yuna and Nina, while Alice and Aria, unwilling to be separated from him, transformed into their necklace forms and rested against his chest.
As they made their way, Yuuji shared his thoughts with Aika about the First Light and about his Descendant of First Light race that he received from the Group Chat for the mission in Suzuki's world.
[Kiryuu Aika: "Hm, that's an interesting thought… Now that I think about it, you might be right."]
[Kiryuu Aika: "But I don't think it's something to worry about! Even if it's real, I don't think it's a bad thing for us."]
[Tsubakihara Yuuji: "I hope it's not a bad thing… But I still want to know more about this "Descendant of First Light" thing, and what it entailed."]
[Kiryuu Aika: "Then, do you want to discuss it with the group?"]
[Tsubakihara Yuuji: "...Let's do it. I want to hear what they think."]
Yuuji and AIka then brought their conversation to the group chat, where everyone was in the midst of talking about the previous mission in the world of Overlord.
He explained his thoughts, and showed them the [Aspect of True Light: Akashic Records of Divine Spirits] SSR.
Then, there was a long pause without any new messages coming in. Before Yuuji asked them about their thoughts.
[Tsubakihara Yuuji: "...So what do you guys think?"]
[Suzuki Satoru: "Now that you say it, it does make sense… These particular races and job classes Yuuji-kun received are quite… unique to say the least."]
[Suzuki Satoru: "Normally, the races and job classes you get are just that and weren't derived from some sort of God or an entity. Like Fallen Angel, or Demon Prince, and the like."]
[Suzuki Satoru: "The job classes and races Lelouch and Aika received are like that. They're not descendants or champions of some deity or entity. So I thought it was just something the group chat chose that would fit Yuuji."]
[Shiba Tatsuya: "I also assumed that it's named as such simply to justify the kind of powers and skills the group chat granted Yuuji as part of its support for the mission."]
[Lelouch Lamperouge: "Likewise. Given Aika and I received races and job classes that didn't exist in Yggdrasil, I assumed Yuuji's was the same."]
[Chiba Erika: "I thought of it just as a name… But now that you say it like that, it might be true."]
[C.C: "I'm not familiar with games, so I'm not familiar with its naming conventions. But, I didn't think much of it either."]
[Albedo: "I, on the other hand, have always believed that there was truly a primordial being of omnipotence called the "First Light" who had chosen Yuuji-sama as its Descendant and Champion. Perhaps it is because I was created by the Supreme Beings in Yggdrasil… But it seemed that even in reality, it was true…"]
[Tsubakihara Yuuji: "Well… True or not, I'm just worried that I'll become something else. I'm not looking to become some omnipotent being or concept or anything…"]
[Lelouch Lamperouge: "I don't think so."]
[Tsubakihara Yuuji:"Hm? Why?"]
[Lelouch Lamperouge: "You were chosen as its Champion, so this "First Light" entity might wish for you to become an outlet of its will. I don't think it'll turn you into things that'll serve the opposite of its wishes."]
[Shiba Tatsuya: "I agree. I don't think you need to worry about that. At the very least, you won't just cease to exist. become a concept, or lose yourself. It chose you because you are who you are. It won't change you into something else."]
[Tsubakihara Yuuji: "That… makes sense."]
[Tsubakihara Yuuji: "Thank you. I feel a bit better, now…"]
The weight that had been in his heart disappeared as Yuuji let out a sigh of relief.
For a moment, he had been worried — wondering if, as he grew stronger and collected the Aspects of True Light, he would eventually become something… different.
But what Lelouch and Tatsuya had said made sense. This entity… it might have a purpose, something it wished to accomplish, yet lacked the ability to do so on its own. That's why it had chosen him—its champion and descendant, someone it believed would align with its will.
But what exactly did it desire? If it was so powerful, what could possibly be beyond its reach?
'It better not be some kind of cosmic entity that threatens the universe…'
If that were the case… then he might have taken on more than he could handle. The thought even crossed his mind—should he stop? Should he abandon the path and refuse to collect the Aspects of True Light, no matter how unfathomably powerful they were?
Just then, a new message appeared in the group chat. And Yuuji's eyes widened in shock upon reading it.
[Kiryuu Aika: "Guys… I thought of something. Could this "First Light" be the one who created the Multiverse Group Chat?"]
[Tsubakihara Yuuji: "That… might be true."]
[Kiryuu Aika: "Right?! I mean, from the SSR's description, it gives the user the ability to summon beings of legends from various worlds and timelines! So it should be able to link our worlds together and allow travel between them!!"]
[C.C: "That makes sense… The missions might also be created by it."]
The idea made sense… If the SSR [Aspect of True Light: Akashic Record of Divine Spirits] was truly one of the many aspects of the True Light or First Light, then it must possess the ability to connect worlds and enable interdimensional travel—the very foundation of the Multiverse Group Chat and its missions.
But a question still lingered in Yuuji's mind… Why? For what purpose did the First Light have to create this Multiverse Group Chat, connecting worlds, gathering people, and granting them immense power?
Erika similarly expressed the same doubt she has in the group chat.
[Chiba Erika: "But for what purpose? Why are they connecting worlds together and giving us missions?]
[Albedo: "I wonder as well… What is the Multiverse Group Chat meant to accomplish?"]
[Suzuki Satoru: "At first, I thought its purpose was to help us avoid the tragedies that would have unfolded in our worlds—events that mirrored the history depicted in the anime of our world. But now… I'm not so sure anymore."]
[Kiryuu Aika: "I think that's it… Satoru-san."]
[Suzuki Satoru: "Eh?"]
Yuuji's eyes widened as realization struck him.
[Tsubakihara Yuuji: "I see… That makes sense!"]
[Tsubakihara Yuuji: "I think this "First Light" wanted to influence the universe and change some of the "tragic" or "catastrophic" events that happen in our worlds. And because it somehow couldn't affect it directly, it created the Multiverse Group Chat to link individuals from different worlds, gave them power, and send them to these worlds through its missions to help change the world for the better!"]
[Shiba Tatsuya: "Then, it found Yuuji and saw him fit to be its Champion and Descendant, and granted him these titles and traits through the support item he'd receive for the mission in Suzuki-san and Albedo's world.]
Everything slowly seemed to click into place.
Although Yuuji was still unsure why he was the one chosen, their theory made sense.
From the very first mission they received, most of the task they received was meant to have them eradicate the sources of conflict and save as many lives as they could. Even the mission to subjugate kingdoms that they received in Overlord was actually meant to prevent more suffering of the people, given how unstable and dangerous most of the kingdoms and countries in the new world were for the common people.
[Lelouch Lamperouge: "Yuuji, I think you should get this Aspect of True Light."]
[Shiba Tatsuya: "I agree. Considering its potential that would allow you to summon extremely powerful allies to aid in missions, it'll be a great asset for us, both for our own safety and means to clear missions.]
[Tsubakihara Yuuji: "That's true…"]
[C.C: "...Everything they said about you not going to become some sort of otherworldly being and lose yourself made sense. And I also think this SSR would be a good asset. But it's all up to you. I mean… even the way you are now, you're not actually 100% human either."]
[Tsubakihara Yuuji: "C.C…"]
[C.C: "What? You know it's true. You're also half angel, half demon."]
Even if they were in different worlds, through text alone, Yuuji could easily imagine C.C smirking teasingly at him.
[Chiba Erika: "That's true…]
[Tsubakihara Yuuji: "Erika?!"]
[Kiryuu Aika: "Hehe~ You know they're right, darling~! And I agree! I want you to summon powerful beauties!!! I wonder if you can even summon genderbend versions of legendary beings?]
[Albedo: "My love, although your true self may be human, but you've proven to be superior in every way, shape, and form. And I believe having this powerful magic in your arsenal would be beneficial for your safety and a great asset for your future endeavors.]
Yuuji contemplated his decision for a few moments. And as he and his twin step-sisters neared the school, he made his decision.
[Tsubakihara Yuuji: "Alright. Thanks to your opinions and suggestions, I've made my decision.]
[Tsubakihara Yuuji: "I'm going to buy it."]

Arriving at school.
As usual, Yuuji accompanied Yuna and Nina to their class. Just as they arrived, they noticed a black-haired beauty with a white headband standing at the doorway, about to enter the classroom.
"Utaha-chan~ Good morning~!"
"Good morning, Utaha-san."
The twins greeted her, and the girl—Kasumigaoka Utaha—paused, turning to face Bonyari's famous twin beauties, whom she had come to befriend.
Utaha rarely socialize with others, never seeing much need for it. During breaks, she preferred to rest and catch up on sleep, often lost to the long nights spent working on her light novel.
Yuna and Nina were the only exceptions. She found them easy to get along with, and they were also tolerant to her behavior and befriended her despite her initial rejection.
In this entire school, these two were her only friends. So, while she'd ignore others, she responded to their greetings.
"Good morning, Yuna-san, Nina-san."
Her gaze fell upon the two twin beauties and, inevitably, landed on Yuuji as well.
Even though she often ignored the idle chatter and rumors from her classmates and people in the school, it was literally impossible for her not to hear about the supremely famous first-year student who was known as the most handsome man in the entire school, a fact not even she could deny.
In fact, ever since she saw him for the first time, his visage was the only thing she could imagine when she wrote about the male main character of her story.
And now, seeing him once again, her heart inevitably thumped harder than normal, despite having seen him after school every day when he came to pick up his twin sisters.
Her gaze lingered at his countenance, unknowingly trying to etch his visage into her mind, before entering the classroom.
Her lingering gaze wasn't missed by Yuuji, who became slightly confused at the brief stare she gave him.
He didn't know why one of the top beauties of the school, Kasumigaoka Utaha, was staring at him like that.
"Then, I'll see you two later after school."
"Uhn~ See you later, Yuu-kun~"
"I'll see you after school, Yuuji."
With a smile, Yuuji bid his farewell to his lovely twin sisters and entered his class, which was right by theirs.
He entered from the front door, which was closest to his sisters' class. And the moment he entered, he was greeted by his classmates, and he responded in kind. A casual morning greeting.
He also greeted Yotsuba, Chitoge, Onodera, Ruri, Ai, Visha, and Raku as he made his way to his seat at the very back.
Yuuji placed his bag on his table and sat down. And the unusual silence and peacefulness caught his attention.
"Where's Shuu?"
He asked Raku, Ai, and Visha who were sitting closest to him.
"Not sure. He went to the toilet earlier and hasn't returned since." Raku shrugged.
The beautiful German girl and swimming athlete also shook their heads. His absence explained the peaceful silence in their little section of the class.
But just as he was about to enjoy it, the classroom door at the back slid open with a bang, grabbing everyone's attention.
"Hey! Hot breaking news!!! This is massive!!!"
"Uwah! M-Maiko-kun?! You scared me!" Yotsuba cried out with hands on her chest to calm her heart.
She was seated closest to the door and she was dozing off, having slept late last night.
"I'm sorry, but this is super big news!"
"Geez… What's this big news about?"
"We're going to get a new foreign female transfer student!!!"
""!!!""
The news shocked everyone in class, and before they could respond, Shuu continued.
"I overheard some things then I walked past the teacher's room on the way back from the washroom. I heard a beautiful voice of a girl from inside. She was speaking in fluent japanese, but I notice an accent! It was similar to Serebryakov-san's accent!"
"Me?"
Visha pointed at herself and tilted her head, surprised.
"Could she be from German as well?" She wondered.
It was then did Yuuji realized something.
"No… It can't be… It shouldn't be this fast… Right?" He muttered under his breath. And for the first time, he felt his heart tremble from being caught so off guard.
A loud bang from the door snapped him out of his thoughts, drawing his gaze—along with everyone else's—to the front of the classroom.
A familiar figure stepped inside—a mature, black-haired beauty clad in a long, white coat. With confident strides and a fierce aura, she made her way toward the teacher's desk at the front of the room.
Hiratsuka Shizuka slammed her hand on the desk with a loud boom, and all sound vanished from the classroom.
"Good morning. Get to your seats."
Following her words, the sounds of rattling chairs and hurried footsteps filled the room as all the students quickly made their way back to their seats, before falling silent once more.
Shizuka nodded and began her roll call.
"...Alright. Now, I have an announcement to make."
Their waning attention from the roll call immediately laser focused on their homeroom teacher the moment she started her announcements.
"We'll be having a new transfer student from overseas coming today. I know it's a bit sudden, but I hope you'll welcome her warmly all the same. You can enter now."
The classroom door slid open once more, and a beautiful girl with sharp european features, a pair of beautiful light green eyes, and shoulder-length light brown hair appeared, making her way to the front of the class beside Shizuka.
Her lips curled into a bright, cheerful smile that immediately captivated the hearts of many guys in class, and she waved her hand.
"Everyone, it's nice to meet you~ My name is Erya Flugel, and I come from Germany~! I'm also Visha's childhood friend~! I hope we get along~!"
Erya waved and winked at Visha, who remained frozen in shock at her childhood friend's sudden appearance in her school. Then, her gaze shifted toward Yuuji, her eyes narrowing as her smile curled into an enigmatic expression.
'Hm~ Interesting~ Let's see how you fare, pretty boy~"
