On the following journey, Shen Luo and Nie Caizhu kept encountering peculiar dark beasts attacking them, including reptiles like snakes and scorpions, as well as beasts such as Black Wolves and black tigers, and even a group of black bats.
Some of these dark beasts were even stronger than the two black snakes they had encountered, but their attack patterns were largely the same, lurking in the darkness before launching a surprise attack.
Shen Luo and Nie Caizhu figured out the attack patterns of these dark beasts. Although the beasts attacking them were stronger, they handled them with much more ease and were no longer in the same kind of peril as before.

A scorpion the size of a human head shot out from the darkness, its tail transforming into a black line that struck the Lotus Petal defense around Nie Caizhu, piercing through it, yet was blocked by the second layer of the Yellow Light Curtain.
