Just yesterday, when I first met Ya, I heard from her about the legend of the "Werewolf" on Spring Island.
The self-proclaimed "Werewolf" serial killer was, on the surface, an anti-chip activist. He fervently attacked the corporate high ranks, demanding that newborns no longer be fitted with chips.
This demand seemed to carry a certain divinity, a grand sense of self-sacrifice and cleanliness. After all, the "Werewolf's" request was completely unrelated to himself; he would not benefit from it at all.
But anyone with a bit of intelligence would realize that this is an utterly unattainable demand. Today, the order of Sky Island, trade, finance, and even the development of all professions are built on "Chip" technology. Removing chips suddenly would be like whimsically pulling away the foundation of a skyscraper.
Since everyone knows that the Werewolf's demands can never be fulfilled... there are only two possibilities.
