"It's been a long time since then," Rishia said as she walked close to me.
"Yeah I guess," I replied as I glanced toward the flock of students who were now staring at me.
"How've you been?" she asked.
"I'm good. How about you?" I said.
"I'm quite alright," she replied.
At last, she was standing directly in front of me. She looked into my eyes and then gestured toward the other students in the class.
'Ah, that's what it is,' I thought to myself.
"Can we talk while we walk? I was about to head to the cafeteria, how about you come along?" I suggested.
"Hmmm, I was growing an appetite so I think I'll accept that offer," she replied and a gentle smile formed on her face.
"That's decided then," I said and then both of us walked out of the classroom.
As we left the room I didn't even want to look at the scene behind me since I already knew what it would look like. Still, if it would give a leverage over Rishia then that sacrifice was well worth it.
