Chris got to the company, he was in a very bad mood today but he managed to put himself together, today he would be meeting the staff of the company,
he knew some already as he had worked here before, but it's been five years already, some already resigned, new staff had already joined in,
and he was sure some might have even forgotten about him
and since there's a new boss around, there were going to be some slight changes
the plan was for him to go to every department and see how they were doing there
Chris had already visited every department. He was on his way to the last one,
immediately he got there, his eyes sighted Zain in an instant, and his eyes grew even darker
He asked the department head and assistant some questions, everyone in the room was obviously afraid of him
he was emitting a very dangerous and cold aura, they could not bring their faces to look at him, the head of the department was indeed stunned,
he had been working here for twelve years now. He was even aware when Christopher started working here. He was such a sweet guy at that time
But now he felt very different, like he just returned from hell, if not for his face which had also incredibly changed, he would not have believed that he was still the president's son who was now their president
The man answered every question fearfully, not able to bring his head up
Christopher listened to everything he was saying attentively, but he couldn't tear his gaze away from Zain, Chris finished with his assessment he was leaving, but then he turned to Zain
"You follow me," he said and left the office
Zain and everyone were stunned.' Did they just hear him right? He asked for Zain to follow him ' they all thought
Zain left the office and followed after him
Sylvia felt very uncomfortable she was very scared for Zain, ' Had he gotten himself in trouble,' she thought that even though he had not accepted her, she still liked being close to him
Zain got to the president's office and knocked
"Come in," Chris replied to him
"You asked for me, sir," Zain said with his head bowed
Chris didn't reply to him. He just threw an envelope on the table
"Take that," Chris said
Zain took the envelope from the table. He was utterly confused when he saw the content
"Sketch out something that goes along with that concept. Finish it up before the end of today," he said without looking at him
Zain was utterly confused. This was not his department. Maybe the president got it all confused, and he decided to say something
"Sir, this is not my work, sir. I'm not in that department. If you want, I can have someone from that department come over and take a look at it," he said
"Are you saying I'm stupid, and I don't know what I'm doing?" Chris said, finally raising his head, Zain's eyes met his, and he quickly looked away, his eyes seemed like they were shooting fire
"no sir that's not what I meant at all." Zain tried to explain, but Chris cut him off
"I don't care what you meant, do what I ask you, or you can take your things and go home," Chris said, feeling irritated
Zain was even more confused. He decided to try one more time
"But Sir, I don't know anything about drawing, I'm not an artist," Zain said, looking helpless
"What did you just say?" Chris said, looking shocked, but he quickly concealed his shock
didn't Jane say her boyfriend could draw, that was he deliberately asked him to do it, he just wanted to add to his work, but now what is he saying, is he joking or he's just trying to lie his way out
"I honestly don't know how to draw, sir. I didn't study drawing in school or anywhere else," Zain said again
"Is that so?" Christopher looked at him, not knowing what to believe. He looked sincere, though
"Who is Jane to you?" Chris asked and Zain was stunned by the question
"Uhnnn!" Zain asked startled.
"You heard, Jane, my maid, how do you know She? she works for me and I like to know everything about my employees especially if they work directly for me, I am a high profiled person and I need to be cautious about the people that work for me" Chris lied
"uhhmm, she's my uhmmm," Zain stammered a bit. He didn't know what he was driving at, so he didn't know whether to tell him the truth or not
seeing that he was saying nothing, Chris was a bit frustrated. "I've seen you come to my house a few times, are you her boyfriend?" Chris asked
"yes sir" Zain answered ' fuck he didn't mean to say that, he had acted on impulse Jane would be so mad at him if she were to find out, damn he was in some deep shit
Chris eyes darkened. He suddenly felt like punching Zain that was in front of him
"Please, sir, I beg you not to let her know that I told you, she's a very private person," Zain pleaded
"You can go," Chris finally said after thinking about it for a while
Zain nodded and left the office. He went straight to his office feeling puzzled
"What was that all about?" he muttered to himself
it was afternoon, and it was time for Jane to go to the company and prepare lunch for Christopher
Jack already made arrangements for the driver and car that will bring her to the company
Jane arrived at the company, she went to the reception "good afternoon, I'm going to the president's office," Jane said
the receptionist looked up and saw that it was Jane again
"You again?" she snorted
"Do you have an appointment this time?" she questioned her
"No, I don't, but he's expecting me. You can call his office or something, and please don't keep me waiting," Jane replied
the receptionist placed a call to Cat's desk, and she was stunned at what she heard
"You can go," she said arrogantly
Jane didn't bother about her attitude, she just left, she remembered very well the floor, she had come here just yesterday
"Good afternoon ma'am" she greeted Cat
"Just call me Cat, good afternoon. You must be Zain's girlfriend, the one he helped with the job, right?" Cat said
Jane wanted to say something when Jack showed up
"The president has been waiting for you. You can go in," he said
"I was just about to say the same thing. You can go in Jane. We will see and talk some other time," Cat said, smiling
Jane nodded with a smile and went straight to Chris's office door and knocked
"Come in" Chris replied coldly
