Estella brought Jane to the servant quarters
"Jane this will be your bed, you are sharing the room with Tessy and Becky, the wardrobe over there you can put your things in there"
"you girls have your bathroom also and the kitchen is outside around the corner it's where we prepare our meals, familiarise yourself with the place I will be in the kitchen" Estella explained
"oh okay, thank you" Jane replied her
"and please you might want to be fast, we will be serving dinner soon," Estella said and left
Jane checked everything before she left, it was quite a spacious and beautiful place for servants, the bed was not so big but she was sure she could manage with Chris, she opened the wardrobe and she found clothes there
It must belong to the girls, she didn't bring any clothes along, Mr Christopher had told her not to worry about it
Thinking of him brought smiles to her face, she thought of the kiss again and she subconsciously brought her fingers to her lips as she sat on the bed
She still didn't know what to think or make of everything that had been going on between her and her boss, ' it was not normal for her and her boss to just keep kissing each other right ' she thought
But still, the scene wouldn't just leave her head, it was the only thing creeping into her mind, she could barely even focus in the kitchen
She reminded herself again that she was just a maid here to work and work she will, with that resolution in mind she got up from the bed wanting to leave but she bumped into Tessy on her way out
"hey, what the hell are you doing here?"
Tessy said but Jane just ignored her, she didn't want to make trouble with anyone especially not her
"hey bitch I'm talking to you, don't you dare walk out on me," Tessy said and grabbed her hands ' just who the hell does this newbie think she is ' Tessy thought
Jane didn't like making trouble but she definitely would not allow herself to get bullied especially not by her
She removed Tessy's hand from her arms
"don't you ever use dirty language on me, if not I will be forced to report you to Mr Christopher and you are not nobody to question me, your status is not even compared to mine in this house, so watch it, and as for what I'm doing here, this is my room too so get used to it" Jane said, glared at her and walked away
Tessy was so mad that she almost choked, ' how dare she talk to me like that ' she thought to herself
' and did she just say she stays in this room too ' Tessy was going crazy ' no way she can stand that bitch ' but then she thought again
She can use this opportunity to teach her a lesson and make her run away from this house, then the madam won't have a choice but to make her the personal maid to the young master
She has always dreamt of being by Chris's side, she fell in love with him ever since she started working in this house six years ago, but he was too highly profile for her, she had even tried to seduce him once but he never even noticed her
Then she heard that he and his girlfriend had broken up, she thought that it was a perfect opportunity to get close to him, since his girlfriend who had been her obstacle was no longer there but then he suddenly travelled and she didn't see him
But when she heard that he was coming back and a personal maid was needed for him, she didn't hesitate to put in her best but that bitch Jane came and took her position, what's worse she even has the favour of madam Grace, she must be a witch and she wouldn't let her go
Jane got to the kitchen just in time, dinner we ready and they were ready to serve
"oh Jane you are here, call Mr Christopher and you Becky call Miss Grace, I will personally call Mr and Mrs Smith" Estella gave out her orders and the rest got to work
Jane was hesitant but she didn't have a choice, she just had to do it she was his maid after all
She got to the study and knocked on the door she heard Chris's voice telling her to come in and she pushed open the door
"sir dinner is ready" Jane said without looking at him and she made sure that her face could not be seen by him cause she was seriously blushingly
"All alright I will be out now just wait for me outside" Chris said his voice hoarse
Jane nodded and went outside, she stood by the door waiting for him
Chris finally came outside after some minutes he cleared his throat to signify that he was out
"We can go now," he said
"Okay sir" Jane nodded and led the way Christopher went after her
Christopher got to the dining room and saw that everyone was seated except Grace
"hey Mom, hey Dad, good evening" Chris greeted them as he sat down
"hello son, did you rest well" Maria asked him
"yes Mom" he lied ' how could he rest well when all he was thinking about was Jane ' at the thought of her, he raised his head and their eyes locked but the awkward moment was broken by Williams's voice
"How did the meeting go today son, what did they say" Williams asked
"We couldn't hold the meeting dad, I was occupied with something else, so I postponed it till Monday, once I hold the meeting I will have Jack draft the minutes and proceedings and send them to you," Chris said
"oh okay that's good" Williams nodded he was satisfied with his son's work
"Enough of work and where is your sister we need to start eating already, she is always late" and before she could continue complaining a very cute voice broke into the air
"Daddy" Chris screamed out in excitement as he saw his father
