Erend walked quietly through the stone corridors of the Elven palace, his boots echoing faintly with each step. The weight of another mission already pressing on him made his shoulders feel heavier than any armor could.
He returned to his chamber where Eccar was waiting by the window, arms crossed and eyes half-closed in thought.
Saeldir had told them he'd be waiting in his own chamber. But first, Erend needed to share what he'd just learned.
"The place we're headed to," Erend began as he closed the door behind him, "is located on the eastern continent. King Fairon said that."
Eccar blinked. "Continent?" he repeated with disbelief. "That means it's actually really far away."
Erend let out a dry chuckle and slumped against the wall. "Yeah. I guess. Oh, wait. We still have Adrius, right? Isn't he a human Archmage?"
Recognition sparked in Eccar's eyes. "Right. Let's call him and ask if he can teleport us there."
"Is he from the Qomore Kingdom, though?" Erend asked, frowning.
