During recent days, Ian had instructed Green Tide to hire a group of people from adventurer and mercenary gathering points in nearby towns, as preparation for the future opening of the Southern Sea Great Labyrinth.
Simply put, this preparation amounted to planting agents.
After all, an unfamiliar Great Labyrinth would typically take even the boldest adventurers a long time to establish the first foothold... which would make the progress painfully slow. Therefore, Ian decided to hire these adventurers and mercenaries as agents, to demonstrate a few classic exploration paths and mark dangerous spots like surrounding Magical Beast Nests.
After all, adventurers often trust shared experiences and lessons from the adventurer community over official information.
