A minor interlude briefly disrupted the proceedings, but the councilor inauguration ceremony was ultimately completed smoothly. Apart from the delegation from the Clergy looking deeply disappointed, the expressions of various representatives from other nations had also become somewhat strained.
With the completion of the councilor reelection, the proportion of council seats held by the three major nations in the Alliance now approached forty-five percent.
The balance has finally been broken!
The political structure of the Human Alliance, previously co-ruled by the Clergy and the Ten Great Kingdoms, has now gone forever.
Yet, this is merely the beginning. As the Clergy and several other kingdoms continue to decline, the Human Alliance will inevitably evolve into a monopoly controlled by giants.
For most nations, this change would undoubtedly spell disaster. While they can currently unite to use the Alliance Council to counterbalance the major powers, the future remains uncertain.
