Arabella excitedly returned inside her bedroom with the magic tool.
She settled the box on her bedside table.
Before she could even open it, she heard Ferdinand's voice.
"Arabella?"
"Just a second," Arabella said and finally opened the box.
She carefully brought out the spherical magic communication tool and saw Ferdinand already waiting for her.
Just seeing his face made her smile.
It was such a long tiring day and being able to see him and hear his voice before sleeping was a treat.
"Why are you still awake?" Ferdinand asked without saying anything first.
Arabella pouted and said, "Says someone who sends a communication device to me at this hour."
"I was hoping you were already asleep and won't hear him knock," Ferdinand said, but looked away.
Arabella's smile returned when she saw the tip of his ears were red.
He knew she would still be awake at this hour.
After all, she usually sleeps by midnight or an hour before.
